The 2013 Australian Open came to an end last night after an exciting two weeks of tennis at Melbourne Park.

The 2013 Australian Open came to an end last night after an exciting two weeks of tennis at Melbourne Park. The tournament wrapped up with the men’s final between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, with the Serbian world no. 1 claiming the victory over his opponent. Over the past fortnight we’ve also spotted plenty of Australian and international celebrities watching the matches from VIP boxes. Female world no. 1 Victoria Azarenka, who won the women’s final on Saturday night, had a great view of the men’s match last night and sat with her boyfriend, ex-LMFAO musician Stefan "Redfoo" Gordy, who’s been one of her strongest supporters and attended all her games. US actor Kevin Spacey has been a keen spectator at most of Andy Murray’s matches because he’s a big fan of the Scottish player, while other stars who have taken in the tennis include Lara Bingle, Dannii Minogue, Manu Feildel and Andy Lee. The Best Shots From the Epic Fourth Round Djokovic vs. Wawrinka Australian Open Match

Every grand slam seems to have one match that people can't stop talking about for the rest of the tournament.

Every grand slam seems to have one match that people can't stop talking about for the rest of the tournament. For the 2013 Australian Open, last night's fourth round match-up between world no. 1 Novak Djokovic from Serbia and 15th seed Stanislas Wawrinka from Switzerland may have been it. The match started off on a high for Wawrinka, who took the first set and the lead in the second, but then Djokovic hit back and proved why he's the world's best. After many exciting rallies, serves and shots, the match went for more than five hours, finishing at 1.41 a.m., with Djokovic's victory after five sets. Following the win Djokovic ripped his shirt off and told commentator Jim Courier, "[Wawrinka] deserved equally to be the winner of this match . . . he showed his quality, he was the aggressive player on the court. I was just hanging in there trying to fight."

The Week in Pictures: Miranda & Orlando, Robert in Oz, The Golden Globes & More

Calling this past week a big one may be a slight understatement.

Calling this past week a big one may be a slight understatement. With the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards kicking us off, we were thrown into a glamorous world full of incredible dresses, funny on-stage moments and red carpet shenanigans. Ben Affleck and Sofia Vergara brought some laughs to the red carpet when they busted out some moves together, and Jennifer Lawrence wowed crowds with her showstopping Dior gown. Meanwhile, Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom put to bed rumours of their split with a loved-up date night at the Instyle after-party. A world away, Robert Pattinson pulled a sneaky on us by arriving at Melbourne airport without any fanfare — he kept his arrival so quiet, he had no fans around him! That's not nearly all, though — click through to see what else your favourite stars got up to!

See Serena Williams' Australian Open Nail Art Up Close

Talking of tennis, Serena Williams' talons are always worthy of a closer inspection at any match.

Talking of tennis, Serena Williams' talons are always worthy of a closer inspection at any match. Kicking off the 2012 Grand Slams in style, the 30-year-old is a big fan of nails, not only collaborating with OPI for a series of collections, but also training to be a certified nail technician. For the Australian Open in Melbourne, Serena's sporting a metallic purple manicure with white and green detailed nail art on top. The look is obviously working for her — she's taken out Tamira Paszek and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova in her first and second-round games.

Courtside Cosmetics: Is It Best to Do Low or High Glamour?

Let's face it, thanks to the WAGs, the Australian Open has become more Glam Slam than Grand Slam.

Let's face it, thanks to the WAGs, the Australian Open has become more Glam Slam than Grand Slam. Our eyes instantly scan the stands to see what Brooklyn Decker and co. are wearing — such a shame Andy Roddick went and ruined our fun by going and getting himself injured. But the question that we always come back to, year after year, is just how glam is acceptable for courtside appearances? Do you think Brooklyn aces it with a low-fi ponytail and pared-back makeup or is Bec Hewitt's full face and long, styled locks the way to go?

Steve Peacocke, Rhiannon Fish and Luke Mitchell took some time out from Summer Bay yesterday and made their way to North Sydney Pool to get up close and personal with the Australian Open trophies. The Home and Away stars posed with the men’s and women’s trophies — nicknamed Norman and Daphne — under the Harbour Bridge, with Luke and Rhiannon puckering up for some shots; Luke tweeted that holding the tennis icon was something he could tick off his bucket list! Venus in Wonderland: Venus Williams' On Court Style

Venus Williams ain't short on style!

Venus Williams ain't short on style! After seeing her win in yesterday's match against Sandra Zahlavova, I couldn't help but ask your opinion on her eye catching get-up. The flamboyant tennis star often designs her own match-wear to make sure she stands out on centre court, and she certainly did yesterday. This criss-crossed bodiced dress with printed skirt was inspired by Alice In Wonderland according to Williams, although I can't see the direct link — Venus added that like the rabbit hole, this dress has an element of surprise. Yes it does Venus, yes it does. Are you a fan of her bright 'n' bold get-up? Or should she stick to more standard sporting attire?

Dannii Minogue Aces It With a Cute Courtside Braid: Love, All?

For anyone hitting the Australian Open this weekend, Dannii Minogue has a cute courtside style for you to steal: braided bangs.

For anyone hitting the Australian Open this weekend, Dannii Minogue has a cute courtside style for you to steal: braided bangs. Perfect when you cannae be bothered styling your hair. Also handy when you don't have time to wash your hair but your dry shampoo's just ran out. In essence: it's the lazy girl's guide to good hair. Not that we're calling Dan lazy, but she's a new mum and can't be expected to whip up an OTT up 'do just for the tennis. Globes, it ain't. Simply braid, secure with an elastic, and I like to bobby pin it in close to my scalp, then work the loose waves over the top so it covers the end. The style works best on all types of finishes — bedhead; waves; poker straight — the choice is yours. Now, off you trot. New balls, please.

Seven’s Australian Open Coverage—Rate it or Hate It?

Channel 7 has been slammed by tennis fans after cutting away from the live matches to air the nightly news, Today Tonight and episodes of Home and Away this week.

Channel 7 has been slammed by tennis fans after cutting away from the live matches to air the nightly news, Today Tonight and episodes of Home and Away this week. On Monday angry viewers deluged the network when they abandoned Aussie Samantha Stosur while she was playing Serena Williams. Then they did the same thing again on Tuesday night during a tense match between Andy Roddick and Marin Cilic in the fourth set. I’m not sure why they decided to bring back Home and Away during the Australian Open. Couldn’t they wait until next week? It’s clear that the matches are not being played live when they resume coverage at 7:30 pm and you can clearly see the clock on the court and what time it actually was. But what do you think?
