Lake Bell showed off a shorter look — a scoop-neck red sheath and coordinating red pumps — but outfitted her dress with an edgy set of finger cuffs. Meanwhile, Heidi Klum glowed in a black and white patterned gown from Roland Mouret.

Famous small-screen actors including Cougar Town's Busy Philipps, Revenge's Madeleine Stowe, So You Think You Can Dance's Cat Deeley, and Fashion Star's Nicole Richie turned up for the fashionable event at SoHo House. Inside, Madeleine mingled with her Revenge co-stars Margarita Levieva and Christa B. Allen, while Busy met up with Cat Deeley and Sarah Chalke, who guest-starred on Busy's Cougar Town. Nicole looked stunning in a white Alaïa dress, which she ditched for a chic black number when she attended a Ferragamo fashion event later in the evening.
Drew Barrymore dressed up for a night on the town without husband Will Kopelman or daughter Olive yesterday. She attended the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style event honouring Bulgari in LA and presented an award to Nicola Bulgari himself. Other guests included Kate Walsh, Cat Deeley, Revenge's Christa B. Allen, and Brad Goreski. It's been an exciting year for Drew, who married Will and welcomed baby Olive. She recently spoke to Ellen DeGeneres about her new relationship status, saying, "I'm so lucky. While it may not be a new trend, a fresh, sexier-than-ever batch of fishtail hems took the Emmys red carpet. Thus, proving (once again) that the mermaid silhouette is a perennial favourite with Hollywood's A-list set. Without delving into the obvious complications of this style (pray for a stair-less venue!), the flared finish certainly provides a kind of dramatic glamour that demands attention. It's flirty, feminine, and because of its asymmetrical cut, allows for the gown to hit at a body-hugging angle. Translation: let's just say, fishtail hems inevitably enhance every curve. Need proof? Sofia Vergara showed off her svelte figure in an embellished teal Zuhair Murad number, Allison Williams stunned in emerald green Oscar de la Renta, and Cat Deeley turned it out in a red Tadashi Shoji creation. The commonality here being these starlets' shared penchant for the fishtail hem. See more inside . . .
Cat Deeley embraced colour in a Tadashi Shoji gown with a fit-and-flare silhouette. Cat's one-shouldered gown, which spanned the gap between red and orange, featured a ruffle leading into sharp tailoring and pleat work that created a sleek yet feminine gown. She finished her gown with bejewelled arm candy and a clutch with a geometric white and black design to add a pop of print to her red-carpet look. What do you think of Cat's ensemble?
