Miranda Kerr and Flynn made an adorable mother-son duo when they attended a morning ballet class in LA today. They co-ordinated in striped tops and cool sneakers for the outing — Miranda sported her favourite pair of Isabel Marant kicks. The busy model was all smiles as she watched Flynn play with a toy plane as they made their way back to the car from the class. On the weekend Miranda and Orlando Bloom celebrated Flynn’s second birthday with a backyard party that included a fire engine-shaped jumping castle and celebrity guests, such as Ali Larter and her son Theodore.

Gwyneth Paltrow brightened up New Year's Day with a red coat and white sunglasses in NYC. She and Moses headed out of their building and into a waiting car after a big New Year's Eve celebration. They rang in 2013 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where Jay-Z and Coldplay performed a special concert. Gwyneth, Moses, and Apple joined in on the fun dancing on stage, though the trio headed home after the clock struck midnight, while Jay-Z and Chris continued the party at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club. Beyoncé wasn't on hand for the festivities since she took the stage at her own show in Las Vegas. Gwyneth's 2013 is already off to an exciting start with the release of her second cookbook, It's All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great, coming in April.

Miranda Kerr switched things up from her recent favourite Isabel Marant coat and wore a cute black number for an early outing to brunch with friends and Flynn in NYC on Saturday. The adorable twosome have been in the city for the past few weeks while Miranda takes care of some final photo shoots of 2012. Miranda signed on to be the face of Mango, following in Kate Moss' footsteps for 2013. Orlando has been shooting a movie in South Africa, though the family plans to be together again for the holidays. We can also see a lot more of Miranda this week when the Victoria's Secret fashion show airs on TV on Dec. 9 at 8:30 p.m. on FOX8.

Marion Cotillard had son Marcel on her lap to take in the Gucci Masters horse show yesterday in Paris. Marion and Marcel were also joined by Marcel's dad, Guillaume Canet, who held the little one on his shoulders to watch the horse-jumping competition. Marion returned to her hometown of Paris to enjoy time with her family after travelling for her latest film, Rust and Bone. On Tuesday in NYC, Marion was awarded the female honour for her work at the Gotham Independent Film Awards in the company of Matt Damon, who picked up the corresponding male honour. While in the Big Apple, she was also able to link up with her Rust and Bone co-star Matthias Schoenaerts to attend a luncheon celebrating the movie.

Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z sat courtside at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Friday. The couple cheered on the Nets as they beat the LA Clippers in their post-Thanksgiving match-up. Jay-Z and Beyoncé have been all about supporting the NBA franchise that Jay-Z helped bring to Brooklyn since their home opener earlier this month. They've juggled sporty date nights with family time, though, and recently shared personal snaps of daughter Blue Ivy on Beyoncé's Tumblr. Blue will celebrate her first birthday in January, kicking off an exciting time for Beyoncé. Beyoncé is the subject of an HBO documentary that airs in the US on Feb. 16, following her Feb. 3 performance at the Super Bowl half-time show. She's also voicing an animated character in Epic, which is set to hit cinemas in June 2013.

Charlize Theron and her mum, Gerda, grabbed lunch with baby Jackson in Cape Town last Friday. Charlize carried Jackson on her hip to the eatery, though he hung out in his stroller during the meal. The little guy skipped out on an outing earlier this month, when Charlize and Gerda sipped champagne as a twosome at an outdoor café. The mother-daughter duo has been getting together in between Charlize's work obligations. She's been in South Africa filming Mad Max 4: Fury Road since the US Summer, after chopping off her hair for the role. Charlize kept her nearly shaved head under wraps for months until finally showing it off upon arriving in her native country.

Miranda Kerr had a busy weekend with a few low-key outings for errands and meetings in NYC. On Friday she was joined by her son, 22-month-old Flynn Bloom, who’s been her Big Apple companion over the past week, and he continued to show off his cute style in a printed jumper. On Saturday the model looked effortlessly chic for a solo outing in a denim jacket and felt topper, and yesterday she pulled her hair into a top knot and accessorised with her favourite Miu Miu sunglasses to step out with her pint-sized pup, Frankie. While Miranda is looking forward to a break over the holidays with Flynn and her husband, Orlando Bloom, she’s kept busy with photo shoots and more modelling jobs in the lead-up to Christmas.

Miranda Kerr was in step with Flynn Bloom as they hit the pavement in NYC yesterday. Miranda wore a skirt that showed off her legs while 22-month-old Flynn accessorised his look with a cap and colourful sneakers. They were also out and about on Wednesday, matching in ripped denim as they made their way from the car to their apartment. Miranda told us earlier in the week at the re-opening of the Victoria’s Secret flagship store that her Christmas plans involved lots of “quality time” with her husband, Orlando Bloom, and son. Even though one of her most high profile gigs — walking for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show — is over for the year, it doesn’t seem like Miranda is slowing down, with a meeting at US Vogue last week and her ongoing KORA Organics business.

Miranda Kerr’s little main man, Flynn Bloom, was on her hip as she left their NYC apartment and made her way to Milk Studios yesterday. The adorable mother-son duo were dressed for the chilly climate but Miranda still showed off her model pins in a short dress. Their outing comes off the back of a super-busy week for Miranda, which kicked off with the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last week and continued with a meeting at US Vogue, a book launch for photographer Russell James’ Nomad Two Worlds and the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards over the past few days. But in between appointments Miranda has still spent quality time with Flynn and recently photographed him walking across a snow-covered park.

Celebrity mothers were out in force on Saturday night for the first annual Baby2Baby Gala in Culver City, California. A Valentino-clad Jessica Alba was honoured at the event, which was presented by jeweller Harry Winston, and she celebrated with her good friend Nicole Richie, who like Jessica is a board member for the Baby2Baby foundation. Over the past few years Jessica has turned her passion for being a mother into a successful business — she founded The Honest Company, which believes in 100 percent natural and eco-friendly family products. Other A-list guests on the night included Rachel Zoe, Mindy Kaling (who presented Jessica with her award), Ali Larter and Julie Bowen.
