Celebrity Pictures of the Week

There was a lot to keep up with in celebrity land this week! Things were kicked off by Joel Madden and Reece Mastin, who joined rock-star forces at the Madden Housewarming Party in Sydney's Point Piper on May 12. Joining her husband Joel in Sydney later in the week was Nicole Richie and their kids Harlow and Sparrow — they were spotted doing a sweet early morning coffee run at Sydney's The Star on Thursday. Over in Miami, Miranda Kerr got down to a sexy black one-piece as she worked her magic for the camera; meanwhile Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio stole a moment away from the crowds at Cannes as they premiered their epic new film, The Great Gatsby. It's been a huge week for celebs this week, with the 2013 Met Gala dominating the agenda for most, and movie screenings entertaining everyone from Miranda Kerr Carey Mulligan and Leo DiCaprio. Jennifer Lawrence and Sarah Jessica Parker shared a funny moment on the red carpet at the Met Ball, while Beyoncé's dramatic arrival sent the photographers' flashes into overdrive. Blake Lively got back to business after a long break from the spotlight (those legs look longer than ever!), and Baz Luhrmann was flanked by his stars at a special showing of The Great Gatsby. It was a fun-filled seven days for our favourite celebrities this week, with movie premieres and stylish parties dominating the agenda. Kate Moss and Stella McCartney showed us how it was done in the '80s with a wild surprise party for a close friend, while Australian Princess Mary was celebrating in a very different way as Prince Willem-Alexander took the Danish throne after his mother's abdication. The Great Gatsby and Star Trek: Into Darkness premieres ensured we were supplied with plenty of red carpet sightings, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Zoe Saldana, while on set in New York, Girls stars Lena Dunham and Adam Driver got us excited for the third season. Between the GLAAD Media Awards, the Time 100, Vogue dinners, baby bump sightings and more, it's been a full-on week! Charlize Theron and Leonardo DiCaprio made an unfairly good-looking pair at the GLAAD ceremony, which recognises media excellence in the representation of the gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual community; meanwhile, Kate Middleton made us smile with her suddenly very noticeable royal baby bump. But it was America's sweetheart Reese Witherspoon who stole most of the attention this week, with news of her arrest (yes, Reese Witherspoon's arrest) making global news. We had plenty keeping us busy here in Australia, what with the Logies (well done, Asher!) and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia happening within 24 hours of each other, but there was lots going on overseas this week as well! Halle Berry displayed her teensy baby bump when she attended a film premiere in Buenos Aires, while Aussie beauty Miranda Kerr held the hand of her bub Flynn on a walk in Beverly Hills. Nicole Richie and Jessica Alba flaunted their fabulous figures while on a girls' trip to St. Barts, and Charlize Theron and Seth MacFarlane set tongues wagging when they left a restaurant together. Just in case we needed reminding that Kate Middleton is the coolest royal out, she picked up a ping pong bat this week — while six months pregnant, if you don't mind — and had a bit of a game with her equally-sweet husband Prince William. Also carrying babies (albeit, in a slightly different way)? Chris Hemsworth and Victoria Beckham, both of whom carted around their adorable daughters on a day out in Los Angeles — we love seeing celebrities clocking up some quality family time! Elsewhere, Hayden Panettiere set tongues wagging for a couple of reasons when she hit the beach in Malibu, and here in Australia, Jessica McNamee and Lara Bingle were sitting pretty at a pre-fashion week show. Happy Easter, everyone! We may be in the middle of a long weekend now, but this week just past has been as busy as every for our favourite celebs both in Australia and abroad. Kicking off the week with the Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, we were treated to cute pictures of celebrities kicking up their heels, and cooing over baby bumps — like Selena Gomez and Katy Perry getting hands-on with fellow singer Fergie's. Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth showed his daughter India some love while they took a walk together, and TV presenter Kylie Gillies knocked all the competition out of the water when she showed off her incredible figure at the Prix de Marie Claire Awards in Sydney. Oh, and then there was the small matter of Ellen being in the country. . .

When Ellen's in town, you know all eyes — including ours — are going to be trained on her every move, and so they have been since the super popular talk show host and comedian touched down in Sydney on Friday morning. Holding hands with her Australian-born wife, Portia, Ellen stopped to sing with fans, chatted to reporters and danced in front of the hundreds of peopl at the airport, before shooting straight off the Sydney's Taronga Zoo. And when we weren't on Ellen watch? We were taking a long, hard look at new pictures of Ryan Gosling (duty calls!), loving how happy and beautiful Diane Kruger was looking at the premiere of her new movie, The Host, and snooping Aussie stars at L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. This week also saw new pictures of a recently-split couple, hot guys on dad duty, pregnant stars, Kate Middleton taking the train and more. It's all in here — check it out now!

A lot of our favourite stars snuck in some personal time this week, hanging out with their partners and families, stealing kisses and sharing big news with the world. Rachael Finch and her new husband Michael Miziner announced that they're expecting a baby, just over two months after their wedding, while Victoria Beckham kept her own baby, Harper, close when they took in husband and dad David's soccer game in Paris. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner looked closer (and cuter) than ever, while Ryan Reynolds got up close and personal with a furry friend at a premiere. Also at premieres? Jess Mauboy and the cast of hit Aussie film The Sapphires, Olivia Wilde and the cast of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, and more. And then there were the Victoria's Secret Angels . . . With the craziness of awards season dying down, most celebrities have been taking time to relax. After a massive few months, Ben Affleck and his wife Jennifer Garner looked relaxed and happy as they stepped out for a romantic dinner in Santa Monica, while Naomi Watts took in the Louis Vuitton show at Paris Fashion Week (alongside another stylish actress). Miranda Kerr switched up her time, one day taking son Flynn to a playground with Orlando Bloom's mum, the other day filming a Japanese TV commercial in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley saved a cute dog from rough seas and Kristen Stewart had a night out with a Twilight co-star. See? It was all fun and games this week!
