Emma Watson was the recipient of the MTV Movie Awards golden popcorn trailblazer honour in LA today.

Emma Watson was the recipient of the MTV Movie Awards golden popcorn trailblazer honour in LA today. The win was even sweeter, since her statue was presented to her by Eddie Redmayne and Logan Lerman. Emma co-starred with Eddie in My Week With Marilyn and played opposed Logan in The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Emma and Logan were also in the running for best kiss, though they lost out to Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, and Emma was beaten by Jennifer in the best female performance category. Still, Emma had another reason to celebrate: it's also her 23rd birthday!

Emma may have skipped the MTV Movie Awards red carpet, but there were plenty of other stars posing for the cameras. Be sure to check them out and vote on your fashion and beauty favourites!

Eddie Redmayne Takes the Spotlight in W Magazine With Actresses Brit and Emayatzy

Actors Eddie Redmayne, Brit Marling and Emayatzy Corinealdi have been labelled “Hollywood’s fresh new faces” in the April issue of W and were shot by Alasdair McLellan for the magazine. Eddie’s profile has grown dramatically thanks to his role in last year’s Les Misérables and his many appearances over awards season. Brit is garnering attention not only as an actress — she’ll next be seen in The East with Alexander Skarsgård and Ellen Page — but also as a writer, while Emayatzy was heaped with praise and awards for her breakthrough role in Middle of Nowhere. Read on for what the stars said about their careers in W:

  • Eddie on auditioning for Les Mis: “I heard about the auditions for Les Mis while I was in a field in North Carolina shooting a movie called Hick, in which I play a paedophile meth addict from Texas with a limp. I was in my Winnebago dressed in a cowboy costume, and I took my iPhone and filmed myself singing my character Marius’ big song.”
  • Brit on why she writes: “I knew it was going to be very hard to become an actress. I wasn’t prepared to be Bikini Girl Number 3 or star in Return of the Chainsaw IV. Most of the storytelling in movies is by men, so I wanted to write complex narratives about women. Nothing terrified me more than acting — but fear can be very motivating.”
  • Emayatzy on her audition process: “I have always kept an audition log. I write down the project, the casting agent, what I wore, my notes, and how I felt about the audition. When Middle of Nowhere came along, it was something new. I hadn’t read anything like it, and I’d never auditioned for anything similar.”

Anne and Amanda Celebrate Les Mis With Sacha and Isla!

Anne Hathaway shared laughs and drinks with her Les Misérables co-stars at a special pre-Oscars bash in LA last night.

Anne Hathaway shared laughs and drinks with her Les Misérables co-stars at a special pre-Oscars bash in LA last night. She donned a Theyskens' Theory mini-dress as she celebrated with a Dior-wearing Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne and Isla Fisher, who attended the shindig with her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen. The Les Misérables fete supported the Los Angeles Fund For Public Education, and drew other celebrities like Adrien Brody and Judy Greer. The celebration wasn't to be confused with the separate Vanity Fair party for Silver Linings Playbook, which also benefited education in LA and was held on the same night.

The pre-Oscars parties are just getting started, and the casts of both films will have plenty of chances to celebrate before the Oscars take place on Feb. 25.

Eddie Redmayne went for a bold look at today's SAG Awards when he walked the red carpet in a brown velvet suit with a black tie and matching shoes. The look is quite different from the traditional black tux he rocked at last night's Producers Guild Awards. Eddie is up for one award tonight: outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture for Les Misérables. His co-star Anne Hathaway is also nominated for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role for her performance in the film as Fantine. Weigh in on Eddie's non-traditional suit and many more red carpet looks in our SAG Awards fashion polls.
