Erin McNaught wed her British musician beau, Example (aka Elliott Gleave) over the weekend in a beautiful, French-themed B&B in the NSW hinterland region. The venue, Deux Balettes, set a romantic tone for the celebrations, but we have to admit it was the former Miss Australia's wedding dress that drew gasps. Special thanks to Example for sharing the beautiful pic! Erin tweeted last month that Sydney's bridal designer to the stars Steven Khalil would be the man behind the frock, and she also shared a sneak peek at her killer Giuseppe Zanotti for Kanye West wedding shoes! Step inside to zoom in on all the details.
Erin McNaught married her beau, Elliot Gleave, in a private ceremony near Ballina in NSW on Saturday afternoon. English musician Elliot, better known by his stage name Example, has shared gorgeous wedding photos on Instagram, showcasing Erin’s custom-made Steven Khalil gown in all its glory. He captioned the picture, “This happened yesterday,” and posted a couple more cute and intimate moments. He also took a screenshot of Erin’s Twitter profile, which now lists her as Erin Gleave, writing, “This made me smile just now. What a lovely surname.”
While Example has been in charge of releasing their wedding pictures, Erin has taken the reigns with sharing snaps of their Bora Bora honeymoon, which so far includes delicious-looking cocktails and swimming in infinity pools against gorgeous backdrops.
Congratulations are in order for homegrown model Erin McNaught and her beau, Elliot Gleave — the pair were married yesterday in a private ceremony near Ballina on the NSW Far North Coast. Erin and Elliot, better known by his stage name, Example, said "I do" in front of 66 of their nearest and dearest at the Deux Belettes guesthouse in the early afternoon.
The bride wore custom-made Steven Khalil, tweeting a few weeks ago that it was "the most beautiful creation I've ever laid my eyes on". Her new husband was wearing a Richard James suit. Last week, Erin wrote, "In exactly one week I will be the Mrs of the love of my life. Such an incredible feeling." Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Gleave!
Twitter went into overdrive this week after a string of tragic events in America, and some of our favourite celebrities certainly made sure to contribute to the chatter. Stars like Taylor Swift, Charlize Theron and more took to social media to share their sad — but lovely — thoughts and prayers, while Alyssa Milano appreciated the "company" of her followers. In lighter Twitter news, Rebel Wilson got everyone geared up for her turn as the MTV Movie Awards host, Erin McNaught shared some exciting details about her wedding dress and Firass Dirani called people out on their transparent behaviour. What else did we learn? Don't mess with model Chrissy Teigen. . .
With the wave of celebrity betrothals last year and this year (already!), it looks like we've got a lot of weddings to look forward to soon. Jennifer Aniston was one of the biggest names (and most hotly-anticipated) to confirm an engagement, and the huge ring that Justin Theroux presented to her made his feelings very clear indeed. Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis announced their engagement in January of this year, and her ring is one of the most unique we've seen. We also did some drool-inducing research so you can check out the best rocks around, from Princess Grace of Monaco to the Victoria's Secret angels, plus Aussies Miranda Kerr, Rachael Finch and Jen Hawkins. And if the man in your life needs a subtle nudge (or kick) in the right direction, why not pass the link on . . .
During the international Fashion Week season there’s no rest for the stylish! When New York Fashion Week wrapped up at the end of last week, busy stars jumped straight on a plane to take their front row seats at some of London’s most exciting shows. Home-grown style heroes sass & bide showcased their latest collection to a crowd that included Olivia Palermo and Les Misérables director Tom Hooper, while Mulberry’s butterfly-filled show was attended by the label’s muses, Alexa Chung and Lana Del Rey. Kate Bosworth also rubbed shoulders — literally — with One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson when they were seated next to each other at the Topshop Unique show. There have been plenty more stars at LFW so click through to see them all, and get the full runway reports from Fab and backstage beauty from Bella.
While most of celeb-land has been fairly quiet over the Christmas holidays (save for a baby announcement and some cool New Year's Eve celebrations), one place that's never silent is Twitter. While we've been taking a break, all our favourite celebrities have been as active on the social-media front as ever, tweeting well-wishes, funny thoughts, astute observations and anything else that comes to mind. Actress Lucy Hale takes issue with some modern technology features she doesn't appreciate, Andy Lee comes up with a uniquely Aussie new concept and Erin McNaught knows the solution to any problem . . . But that's not all — there's much more to read, so click through to check it out!
As much as we love the focus on the frocks when it comes to red carpet events, we're just as interested in all the little extras that go towards making (or breaking) an outfit. We've zoomed in on all of the celebrity accoutrements from last night's ARIA Awards arrivals so you could see — close up — what the crème de la crème of the Australian music industry (plus Nicki! Plus Taylor!) used to jzush-up their ARIAs ensembles. Ready? Dive on in!
Bold, bright colour, graphic prints and pale and pretty looks were the top three trends we noticed on the ARIA Awards red carpet. Ricki-Lee Coulter, DJ Havana Brown and Sarah De Bono opted for stand-out colour, while punchy prints were the way forward for Nicki Minaj (in Camilla), Kimbra, Jesinta Campbell and Ruby Rose (via a custom-designed Romance Was Born frock). Then there was the pale and interesting brigade; Taylor Swift's romantic Elie Saab gown and Samantha Jade's sculptural number adding a little elegance to the black carpet. We can't pick a favourite (yet), so we're rounding up all the celebrity looks so that you can make an informed decision. Step inside and see who wore what to the 2012 ARIA Awards.
Missed out on our polls? Have your say on all the looks, here.
In a flurry of perfect smoky eyes, red carpet ready hair and bronzed skin — it could only be the ARIA Awards. This year's show is sure to be a goodie with international superstar Taylor Swift performing alongside Australian stars Guy Sebastian and Missy Higgins. But, back to the beauty! We've seen a trend in navy and metallic — both eyeshadow and eyeliner — and the nails have been either really dark (black) or nude. The hair looks have been a real mix of sky-high buns à la Ricki-Lee Coulter, and soft, natural waves seen on Samantha Jade and DJ Havana Brown. We loved Jesinta Campbell's foray into pink (temporary!) hair and Taylor Swift's romantic twist chignon. Click through to see all the looks from the 2012 ARIA Awards.
