Spring racing season is in full swing as celebs frocked up for Saturday’s Caulfield Cup in Melbourne. Despite battling the elements—wind and rain came down on the $2.5 million event—the race drew celebs like funny men Hamish and Andy (and their other halves Zoë Foster and Megan Gale), former Olympic swimmers Grant Hackett and Giann Rooney, and even Farmer Wants a Wife’s Shaun Fewson and Devin Mill! Gai Waterhouse won her first Caulfield Cup with Descarado and daughter Kate was there for her mother’s win. Pregnant Catriona Rowntree and racing personality Emma Freedman also made an appearance at the event.
Wednesday night’s A Current Affair was must-watch TV for those wanting to hear Sarah Murdoch’s side of the ANTM story, but the show also caught up with the farmers from The Farmer Wants a Wife to see what the lads and lady have been up to since filming ended. We’ve already done the all-important ‘Where are they now?’ article, but this segment was cute as it reunited the farmers on Jamie’s gorgeous pearl farm on the coastline of WA, where they chatted about life post-show. For their current relationship statuses and what they had to say about the show, read more.
The Farmer Wants a Wife finale was only last Wednesday and I thought everyone was going to live happily ever after. Pffft! Turns out that really does only happen in fairy tales because nearly all of the farmers have split with their potential partners! OK! magazine and TV Week have already done “where are they now” stories and four out of the six couples have already called it quits! Keep reading to find out where it all went wrong.
The best thing about The Farmer Wants a Wife finale was the fact that everyone got a happy ending. Wait, that doesn’t sound quite right...anyhoo, Farmer Nathan popped the question to Amanda and everyone else was on the road to love. Pearl Farmer Jamie ended up with Emma, cheeky Charlie is with outgoing Ali, Farmer Becky picked Joe and Farmer Devon loves Leila. Sexy Farmer Shaun didn’t bring anyone to the finale, which immediately made me think, “He’s still single!!” but alas, he found love with someone named Lucy through a mutual friend. The show is so successful that they’re already casting series six now. Although the man drought is officially supposed to be over, I say we still need to cast the net wide, ladies. If you’re up for a little adventure the new show starts filming in November!
