Harper's Bazaar

Carey Mulligan is Spring-ready surrounded by flowers for Harper's Bazaar UK's June issue. She's on the promotional trail as she preps for the May 30 release of The Great Gatsby, and sat down at a press conference in NYC to chat up the film over the weekend. Carey was joined at the event by her co-stars, including Leonardo DiCaprio, who also received mention in the publication. She revealed her excitement about auditioning with Leo, shared her favourite on set song, and explained her love for Prada. Here's more from Carey Mulligan in Harper's Bazaar UK:

• On working with Leonardo DiCaprio: "Well, he wasn't my pin-up, but he was for a lot of my girlfriends. When I did the audition with Leo in New York I walked away grinning. Just the idea that if I never got any further, I had just spent an hour and a half acting with Leonardo DiCaprio."
• On listening to LMFAO "Party Rock Anthem" while filming Gatsby: "That's what we used to dance to. It's also the song that made me laugh hysterically and there were lots of times when I needed to go into a scene with that kind of energy."
• On wearing Prada: "I have worn a lot of Prada and always loved their clothes. I always felt very comfortable. They were the first designer house that ever lent me anything; I wore Prada to the Oscars. The people who work there are so lovely and really just non-scary fashion people."

Katy Perry, Julianne Hough, Sophia Bush, and Eli Roth were among the stars who attended last night's Shop Bazaar party at The Parker in Palm Springs. POPSUGAR US stopped by the Coachella weekend bash, which was hosted by Harper's Bazaar and drew dozens of stylish guests. The event even featured a pop-up boutique where guests could shop for swimsuits, jewellery, and beach towels to complete their festival looks.

As the afternoon went on, DJ Mia Moretti took a break from the turntables to take photos with her friend Katy Perry, who is a fixture at Coachella each year. A recently single Julianne Hough also hung out by the pool and shared a few laughs with a group of female friends. After the party, we spotted Sophia at the field, where she checked out the bands Passion Pit and Tanlines. Gwyneth Paltrow posed for two covers, one for newsstands and one for subscribers, of May's US Harper's Bazaar. In the magazine, she gets candid about her 10-year marriage to Chris Martin as well as the surprising lesson she's learned from close friend Jay-Z. Gwyneth, who is currently busy promoting her new cookbook, It's All Good, also reveals that she is trying to find a balance between her healthy lifestyle and the real temptations in everyday life. • On plastic surgery: "I use organic products, but I get lasers. It's what makes life interesting, finding the balance between cigarettes and tofu. I would be scared to go under the knife, but you know, talk to me when I'm 50. I'll try anything. Except I won't do Botox again, because I looked crazy."
• On her friendship with Jay-Z: "I don't hold on to fear as much as I used to, because I've learned a lot about genuinely not caring what strangers think about me. It's very liberating. It's very empowering, and I've learned a lot of that from Jay-Z, because his approach to life is very internal. It's a very good lesson to learn."
• On her marriage to Chris Martin: "We are growing into very similar people. It's cool, it's good. It's not always easy, though!"

Jessica Gomes is known for her smokin' bod. After all, it did bag her a coveted spot in the Sports Illustrated line-up. It follows then that Harper's Bazaar hired the Perth-born beauty to model the sexiest of smalls from Agent Provocateur for the April 2013 issue. The luxe lingerie label recently set up shop in Sydney and Melbourne, so if you spot something you like on Jess, you just may be able to get your seductress paws on it in-store at David Jones.  BYO sexy stare. Selena Gomez gets glamorous on the cover of US Harper's Bazaar's April issue, which was photographed by Terry Richardson. Inside the magazine, she opens up about her new single life and reveals that she isn't that into going out and trying to meet people. However, Selena does admit that she believes in the power of love, just like her friend Katy Perry. Surprisingly, she adds that she doesn't like to get dressed up outside of red carpet events and that she "doesn't give a damn" what she looks like. • On her casual off-duty style: "I do not give a damn what I look like, I don't. I wish I could pay attention because Gwen Stefani, say, looks flawless. Of course, when I'm on red carpets, I'm nervous, sweaty, and weird."
• On dating: "[I don't get] asked out a lot. And when I actually look presentable, I'm at an awards show. It's not like I've wanted to go out and look for someone. I'm not really good at that."
• On believing in love: "I believe in love — yes, I'm one of those girls. Most of my friends believe in love. I went out with Katy Perry last night. She's so fun and awesome, but it's cool to see someone older believe in love too. She is all about it, and that's how I will always be. I believe in stories like, 'Oh, I met him in Starbucks.'"

Drew Barrymore displays her new-mother glow on the cover of US Harper's Bazaar's March issue. Inside the publication, Drew talked about her new makeup line, Flower. She also touched on more personal topics, including how she is trying to find a balance between her public life and the private life she wants for her newborn daughter, Olive. Here are highlights from Drew Barrymore in Harper's Bazaar:

• On keeping her daughter's birth under wraps: "I definitely needed some time. For a solid six weeks, I was hiding like the Unabomber.  Because I live my life in the public eye, I didn't want that for her. [However], unless I move into a bunker underground, I don't have a choice in this matter. It was something that took me weeks to cope with."
• On her CoverGirl LashBlast commercials: "I didn't want a cold campaign with severe messaging. I wanted warmth and acceptance and self-love. Nobody's in gold rain or running through a jungle with their lipstick on. It was just me and some great music on a white background. That's every girl, in her closet getting ready."
• On her favorite things: "I live for makeup and I like wine. These are my truths!"

Nicole Richie joined Emma Roberts, Demi Moore, and Rachel Zoe to check out Ferragamo's Spring runway collection at a VIP dinner hosted by Harper's Bazaar at LA's Chateau Marmont last night. Rachel made the rounds with her husband, Rodger Berman, by her side, saying hello to Tobey Maguire's wife, Jennifer Meyer, host Jacqui Getty and more. Demi showed up solo, sporting a sexy black dress with knee-high boots, after stopping by the Matt Damon-hosted episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live (we'll bring you a video soon!). Emma Roberts, meanwhile, mingled with pal Gia Coppola. It was a busy night for Nicole, as well, who was on double duty after also attending the Elle Women in Television event.
