The cast of The Hills gathered at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel last night to toast their series finale, which aired last night in the US and will later this year here in Oz. Kristen Cavallari, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, Lo Bosworth and Stephanie Pratt mingled with Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado on the red carpet, but there was one unwelcome surprise. As rumoured, Spencer Pratt crashed the event—no one expected, though, that he'd do so dressed as an old man. His estranged wife, Heidi Montag, didn't attend, but she took to her Twitter to muse on the unexpected turns her life has taken. Lauren Conrad skipped the red carpet, but she was inside the event to chat with MTV hosts. She raised a glass to the series in a sparkly dress she picked out for the occasion and looked happy to reunite with her former co-stars. She said farewell to the show that helped launch her career, but there's lots more to come for LC with movies, books and her fashion collection.
After wrapping Just Go With It with Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman and Adam Sandler, model Brooklyn Decker recently sat down with our gals at Pop US to discuss everything from working with Ms. Aniston to what Heidi Montag is really like. She even shared the workout tips for that bikini-body! Pluuus, she reveals why she found Adam Sandler pretty intimidating. Goofy Adam Sandler? Really? Yep. Listen in for the scoop:
PopSugar: What made you want to try acting? Brooklyn Decker: I've always been interested in acting, but it's something I never thought I could do. It was something I always wanted to study before I really, really got into it. I just got really lucky with this opportunity. I've been auditioning quite a bit actually over the last few years and was sort of afraid of the whole model-turned-actress cliché, so I kept it under wraps that I was auditioning. I went through the auditioning process for this role and got lucky enough and got it! It was the best learning experience, the best education possible.
PS: I heard you were in the running for Transformers 3. BD: Action is really high up there on the list, I would love to do that. I think it really teaches you the physical side of acting, which would be really interesting and I'd love to do drama as well. There's something nice about comedy, knowing you can laugh everyday on set. But I think there's something also very simulating about action as well, which I'd like to explore.

It's generally a good thing that The Hills is ending its run on MTV, but I've got to admit that I'm actually excited to watch tonight's premiere and the rest of the final season. The reality show staple definitely took a nosedive when Lauren Conrad took off and the less-sympathetic Kristin Cavallari took center stage, but my guilty pleasure radar went off like crazy when I saw the trailer for season six. What could possibly make me want to tune in to this group of spotlight-seekers? I'll tell you.
Heidi's new face/body: The gossip flurry that surrounded Heidi Montag's plastic surgery extravaganza was wisely recognised as a compelling plot point for the show. Involving Heidi's mum—who clearly doesn't approve of her daughter's actions—is intense. I'm hoping their interaction is up there with my other best Hills moments.
Kristin's drug problem: The show hasn't shied away from showing the substance abuse problems of the cast (particularly Holly's drinking problem last season) and the fact they aren't leaving rumours of Kristin's drug issues to tabloids reminds me that there's still some reality on The Hills.
To see my other reasons for tuning in, just keep reading.
The US, those lucky things, welcomed the northern hemisphere summer with a long weekend and celebs like Jessica Alba got into the hot weather groove by donning their bikinis. Meanwhile, Bradley Cooper sets his dating record straight over those old Jennifer Aniston rumours and Heidi Montag splits from Spencer Pratt to spend time with friends.
