Jackie O was thrilled to finally meet her idol, Gwyneth Paltrow, in NYC, while Laura Dundovic graduated from uni with her psychology degree. Rhiannon Fish and Jodi Gordon participated in Nike’s She Runs the Night event, and Delta Goodrem shared a silly selfie from the set of The Voice, which moved into its Showdown phase this week.

Cosmopolitan magazine certainly isn't ashamed to acknowledge its age — throwing a chic 40th birthday soirée for the Sydney social set yesterday in Sydney. A slew of media personalities, current Cosmo columnists, fashion-types and ex-editors of the masthead lunched under a ceiling of balloons at Otto restaurant on the Wooloomooloo wharf, briefly being interrupted by current editor Bronwyn McCahon who spoke of meeting Cosmopolitan's iconic founder Helen Gurley Brown. Delicious three course meal and gifted Blackerry Z10s aside, we were most interested in what these ladies-who-lunch wore. Step inside to snoop all the style on show. 

Cosmopolitan magazine celebrates its 40th birthday this month and rounded up Australia’s glamorous social set for an exclusive lunch at Otto Ristorante at Woolloomooloo in Sydney yesterday. The publication’s editors over the years came together for the event and were joined by the likes of Jodi Anasta, Rachael Finch, Laura Dundovic and Kate Waterhouse to dine under a canopy of balloons that were so low the guests had to watch their heads whenever they stood up. It was a lovely afternoon for celebrities to catch up with friends, and towards the end of the lunch current editor Bronwyn McCahon addressed the stylish room, surprising them with the news that everyone would be going home with a new BlackBerry.

Television's night of nights is taking place this Sunday, but before we see the latest lineup of stars hit the red carpet, we're focusing on what's arguably the most important part of the Logies: the hair and makeup. More specifically, the best beauty looks from some of our all-Australian golden girls. This year, gorgeous blonde TV presenter Carrie Bickmore is in the running for the biggest award of the night — The Gold Logie — but no matter the outcome, she's always a winner on the red carpet. A black-tie gala was held at The Star last night to celebrate the 2013 Prix de Marie Claire Awards. The magazine stepped up its annual event from a luncheon last year to a more formal affair to pay tribute to the Australian fashion and beauty industry, and celebrity guests such as Lara Bingle, Megan Gale and Jodi Anasta got into the spirit in black-tie designer ensembles. The outdoor location of the black carpet — on the open-air balcony outside the new events centre at the top of The Star — meant gusty winds gave stars some potential wardrobe malfunction moments, including The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies, who flaunted toned legs through the slits in her gown.

There were plenty of designers on hand for the show, including sass & bide’s Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke, Samantha Wills, Camilla Franks and Alex Perry, and after dinner guests were treated to a fashion show that took place on an overhead glass ceiling. Sydney's most stylish folk frocked up last night to celebrate the best in fashion and beauty at the 2013 Prix de Marie Claire Awards. The black tie gala, hosted by editor Jackie Frank at The Star casino, was full of drama — and not just thanks to the formal dress code. A spectacular perspex runway was suspended high above guests' heads, allowing for a unique viewpoint. International designers were popular with the A-list crowd with Lara Bingle looking chic in Christian Dior, Jodi Gordon donning a fabulously frilled Gucci number and Megan Gale baring a little flesh in black Bottega Veneta. Thigh high splits were a popular choice with designers Sarah Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton of sass & bide, Terry Biviano and Samantha Wills all showing a little leg — and special mention goes to Kylie Gillies who showed off her spectacular legs thanks to an unexpected gust of wind.

On the fashion-front, the magazine awarded Best Australian Designer to wonderkid Dion Lee, Best Australian Evening Wear Designer went to Collette Dinnigan, Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson were honoured with a Special Achievement Award, Zimmermann scooped the Best Swimwear title, newbie Christopher Esber took home the Best New Designer gong, Rachael Ruddick received the Best Australian Accessory Brand Award, the Best Australian Fashion Brand went to Oroton and sass & bide got a special mention by taking home the award for Fashion With Heart. Readers got their say too, nominating Cue and Samantha Wills for Best Australian Fashion Brand and Best Australian Accessory Brand respectively. With the wave of celebrity betrothals last year and this year (already!), it looks like we've got a lot of weddings to look forward to soon. Jennifer Aniston was one of the biggest names (and most hotly-anticipated) to confirm an engagement, and the huge ring that Justin Theroux presented to her made his feelings very clear indeed. Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis announced their engagement in January of this year, and her ring is one of the most unique we've seen. It’s been a huge week for celebrities in the lead-up to the Oscars on Monday, with heaps of Hollywood stars out and about attending pre-Academy Awards events. Aussie stunner Jodie Gordon turned 28 yesterday, and we thought there was no better way to celebrate than with an homage to her 10 greatest style moments. Whether she's rocking a mini (which she does so well, with pins like that) or working a maxi, Jodi always does it with that money-can't-buy confidence and effortlessness that makes her look a million bucks. To date, we've seen her in skin-tight Josh Goot, a long and luxe fuschia skirt, a textured short suit from Willow, and many more outfits created by both local and international designers. Today, Australian actress, model and all-round nice girl Jodi Gordon turns 28! Jodi burst onto the modelling scene as a leggy 13-year-old (yep, 13!) and ever since then she's been on a career trajectory that's taken her overseas and crossed over into the TV world. She starred in Home and Away for five years and has been in three films, not to mention numerous modelling gigs. Better still, she married the love of her life, football player Braith Anasta, in a beautiful sun-soaked ceremony in Bali last year! Often spotted laughing together on the red carpet, or sharing romantic pics on Instagram, Braith and Jodi are the real deal and one of our favourite Aussie couples.
