Would You Be Surprised If Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer Got Back Together?

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer's on-again, off-again relationship ended a year and a half ago, but new rumours suggest they might be rekindling a romance. John performed at the Hollywood Bowl in LA on Sunday, and while some fans reported seeing Jennifer watching from the wings, he said this cryptic message on stage:

"I believe in second chances! You might have been a pain in the ass the last time around, but you can still start over again from home base. Next time you get a text from the one you love just text back 'come over'-no matter what happened in the past. If you really love someone, just tell them and be with them."

This wouldn't be the first time they gave their love another go, so tell us-would you be surprised if Jennifer and John got back together?

John Mayer ruffled some feathers earlier this year with the racy remarks he made in Playboy. After taking some time off from the spotlight, making a teary apology, and restricting his use of Twitter, John finally spoke about the uproar his interview caused before performing last week on The Today Show. He said to anchor Matt Lauer, "I learned. Don't talk just to see if you have something to say. Talking just to see if you have something to say is a really bad way of finding out you had nothing to say . . . I done goofed." John seems ready to put the episode behind him, but tell us-have you moved past John Mayer's Playboy comments?

John Mayer had quite a Wednesday night in NYC-after an impromptu show at 3 a.m., he was spotted serenading people on the street the next morning. He seemed to be in good shape by Thursday night, when he made an appearance at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Ceremony. He was there to present rumoured romantic interest Taylor Swift with the Hal David Starlight Award, which honours up-and-coming musicians. John had nothing but praise for Taylor, saying, "You could put her in a time machine in any era and she would have a hit record. Don't confuse everybody loving one thing as hype. Sometimes that's everyone agreeing that it's fabulous." It was John and Taylor's latest evening together, after being together in Nashville last Wednesday for the CMT Awards.
