The likes of Britney Spears, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey have all tried to make it big in the movie biz and Christina Aguilera is the latest songbird to hit the silver screen in the upcoming Burlesque. The film has an interesting cast—we're talking Eric Dane, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci and Cher—but today's first look at the film is mostly all about Xtina. Some of the photos actually look pretty cool (seeing Christina shake it on stage isn't a far cry from her real life personality), so check 'em out and tell me what you think!
Whales (formerly Everybody Loves Whales), the true tale of grey whales trapped under the ice of the Arctic Circle, is assembling somewhat of a dream cast—for me anyway. Drew Barrymore was the first to sign on as a Greenpeace activist, then John Krasinski snagged a role as a small-town reporter and now another one of my faves is joining the film: Kristen Bell! She's in negotiations to star as an LA reporter who wants to make it big. I love that Bell is getting a steady stream of movies these days. In September she'll pop up in the comedy You Again, then a few months later in the sexy Burlesque. There's clearly no rest for the adorable.
I totally concede that Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead is '80s cinematic perfection, but that doesn't make the reboot news go away.
