Gwyneth Paltrow shared her thoughts on everything from the Met Gala to bikini waxes on Thursday during a dinner with 2DayFM's Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O in NYC. The radio hosts bid on a dinner with Gwyneth and decided to bring along a tape recorder for the event. When they showed up, Gwyneth was already a martini in and ready to open up. Here are some of the best lines from Gwyneth, who seems like she'd be an entertaining dinner companion!

On being drunk before dinner: "I am drunk already. I am. A martini went straight to my head and now wine. With no food. So just watch out."

On how much it probably cost to win a dinner with her: "How much did it cost. 7 pounds?"

On the bread basket: "I had like four pieces and on my fifth piece, I was like 'f*ck this' and threw it back in the basket."

On the Met Gala: "Like you always think, 'Oh my god. This is going to so glamorous and amazing and you're going to see all these people.' And then you get there, and it's so hot. It's so crowded. Everyone's pushing you. This year it was really intense. It wasn't fun."

On Kanye West: "Kanye West was playing. And he was furious. And he threw his microphone down. It was all drama!"

On the Met Gala punk theme: "I feel like we're all a bit old to be trying to dress punk."

On meeting Psy: "We're at the Met Ball. Our son is obsessed with him. So Chris sees him, and he's like 'Oh my god, there's Psy.' I was like, wait - 'cause I thought it was P-S-Y. I was like, who's Psy?"

On shaving: "I said, 'No, I got a big '70s bush.' Which I was kidding. But then it was all a disaster. And now I look like an 8-year-old girl, basically."

On bikini waxes: "Every time I have a bikini wax, Cameron Diaz holds me down."

On making a toast: "Cheers to our hairless vaginas!"

Over the past few days we’ve been keeping track of the reality TV musical chairs concerning the judging panels for two popular Aussie shows: Australia’s Got Talent and The X Factor. Earlier this week it was confirmed that Channel Nine had signed UK stars Mel B and Dawn French for AGT, which it poached from Channel Seven last year, and last night they unveiled the promos for their third judge - Timomatic (real name Tim Omaji), who was runner-up on the 2011 series of AGT on Seven. It’s expected that Kyle Sandilands will be announced as the fourth judge on the extended panel today, making him the only judge to move with the show between the networks.

Channel Seven Axes Australia's Got Talent - Is It Going to Nine?

Channel Seven yesterday announced that it would not be bringing back Australia’s Got Talent as part of its 2013 line-up. The series, which has given us musicians like Timomatic and Jack Vidgen, underperformed this year mainly due to competition from Channel Nine’s The Voice. Interestingly, it’s been reported that Channel Nine is going to pick up the series to air against Seven’s The X Factor in the later half of the year. The Daily Telegraph reports that they’re also looking to keep Dannii Minogue on the judging panel - the show’s only original judge - but won’t approach Kyle Sandilands or Brian McFadden. This year Channel Nine successfully rebooted the Big Brother series after Network Ten cancelled it four years ago.

There was plenty to keep us occupied this week as we farewelled Winter here in the Southern Hemisphere (hooray!) and celebrated various events taking place in our Northern counterparts. The 69th Venice International Film Festival kicked off on August 29, and we watched a bevy of beautiful people - such as Kate Hudson - as they got into the party spirit. But it was more of a family-filled week for some of our other favourite celebrity mums, like Hilary Duff and Michelle Williams - they were snapped taking their cute kids out to farmer's markets and for ice-cream in LA and New York, while back down under, a couple of "foxy morons" celebrated the release of their first film, Kath & Kimderella. Kyle and Jackie O Round Up Friends For Their Own Amazing Race

To mark the return of The Amazing Race Australia on Channel Seven next week, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O gathered some of their famous friends for their own version of the round-the-world race in Sydney yesterday. Home and Away’s Dan Ewing, Packed to the Rafters’ George Houvardas, Brian McFadden and Vogue Williams joined the radio hosts, their producers and a pair of listeners for a series of challenges that included abseiling in Darling Harbour, eating interesting Asian dishes (including chicken uterus) in Chinatown, pretending to be prisoners on Cockatoo Island, and looking for clues under the seats at Allianz Stadium. It was during the same Amazing Race a year ago that Kyle tripped while running on a dock in Woolloomooloo when he was teamed with Lara Bingle.
