Lara Bingle seemed to be getting her life back on track after a series of bungles. She fired controversial celebrity manager Max Markson, returned her pricey engagement ring to cricketer Michael Clarke and then she went off to New York for a break. She insisted that she wanted to lead a “quiet” life out of the limelight and was going to work to earn back people’s respect. But today news broke that there is a battle brewing for Michael’s millions and that Lara’s mother is encouraging her daughter to fight for a big piece of the pie. Lara is reportedly aiming for a hefty seven-figure payout which would include the $230,000 Aston Martin sportscar he gave her, along with the value of her $200,000 engagement ring. Lara’s mum also wants her to receive property, cash and furniture on top of that. According to a source, her mother, "doesn't think [Michael] looked after Lara, being away as much as he was, and wants him to pay dearly." The couple were together for three years and are treated the same as a marriage under de facto laws. Michael earns more than $3 million a year and has $9 million in property. What do you think? Should Lara fight for a hefty settlement or just get on with it already?

Lara Bingle is part of another high-profile split—this time with celebrity manager Max Markson. Lara tells Graziamagazine she’s calling the shots now when it comes to getting her life back on track. She wasn’t paid for the interview, where she says it’s been scary and lonely since she split from cricketer Michael Clarke. She also reveals that the time they spend apart ultimately doomed the relationship and that instead of flushing her pricey engagement ring down the toilet, she actually returned it to him because it was “the right thing to do.” She also says that she is going to work to earn back people’s respect after selling her side of the Brendan Fevola nude photo story for a reported $200,000 fee and says she hopes to lead a “quiet” life out of the limelight.
