These women represent the energy, strength and confidence that reflect the essence of L'Oréal Paris. So come join us, and celebrate the end of Cannes with one final hurrah to these beautiful ladies!
The 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival wrapped up on the weekend, so it's now time to have a look back at all of the beauty glamour that graced the red carpet. Things kicked off to an amazing start with stars including French beauty Audrey Tatou, Emma Watson and Carey Mulligan hitting the red carpet, but there was a few memorable stand-outs like, Cara Delevingne and Bianca Balti to Megan Gale, her fellow L'Oréal Paris ambassador Barbara Palvin that since stole the show with their bold makeup looks — tangerine eyeshadow, glossy lips, winged eyes — and perfectly styled hair. There's over 100 looks in here, so get ready, go!
The festivities in Cannes are still going strong, so too nturally, are the incredible hair and makeup looks coming out of the French Riviera. Stealing the show just a little bit? Karlie Kloss, with her perfectly undone hair and darkly-lined eyes. Swoon. It wasn't all about Cannes this week, though — some of the stars of The Great Gatsby wowed us with their pretty and polished looks at the Sydney premiere, while Miley Cyrus was a punky standout at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards. This week's best dressed list was owned by Australian ladies. Nicole Kidman was the epitome of an iconic movie star, wowing the crowds at Cannes with her blue, red, black and white L'Wren Scott dress — that she went with the designer is no surprise, but her dress was a bold choice that really paid off. Also rocking the prints was Nicole's good friend Naomi Watts, in a floral Dolce & Gabbana tea-length dress, while Jess Hart and Megan Gale opted for black dresses with pretty details making all the difference. Click through to see these looks and more — including Miley Cyrus' fab Balmain jumpsuit and Cara Delevingne's cosy-enough-to-sleep-in suit. Come along!
The Week in Pictures: The Great Gatsby Hits Sydney, Kate Steps Out, Joel & Harlow's Coffee Run & More
What a week it's been! So much of this week's action has taken place in Australia, and it's been non-stop since the get-go. Baz Luhrmann brought his The Great Gatsby to town on a very rainy Wednesday night, and with him at the premiere were the film's stars Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton and Elizabeth Debicki, to name a few. The latest crop of CLEO Bachelors were announced, David Jones celebrated it's 175th birthday with a host of stylish stars like Megan Gale and Rachael Finch, and honorary Aussie Joel Madden went on a coffee run in Sydney with his adorable family. Elsewhere, Cannes kicked on and Kate Middleton made a sunny appearance at a royal garden party. Click through to see it all now!
Fresh from wowing international press on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, it wasn’t long before Megan Gale was back in front of the cameras after returning to Australia. The model, in Dion Lee, joined her fellow David Jones ambassadors and a host of local celebrities to celebrate David Jones’ 175th birthday at a black tie gala held at the Sydney store last night. Perth-born beauty Jessica Gomes, who replaced Miranda Kerr as a brand ambassador a few months ago, stunned in a backless design, and Jason Dundas, Montana Cox, Gai Waterhouse and Emma Freedman — all part of the DJs family — all brought their star power to the event.
VIP guests including Delta Goodrem, Jesinta Campbell, Stephanie Rice, Rachael Finch and Michael Miziner, Charlotte Dawson and David Jones’ stable of designers witnessed the launch of a commemorative exhibition that celebrates the department store’s history. They also toasted the occasion with lots of champagne, canapés, and a dessert and cheese station.
Megan Gale's second trip to Cannes was filled with red carpet glamour, sultry photo shoots and some killer dresses, but in this behind-the-scenes video, you'll notice that the L'Oréal Paris ambassador looks just as good off-duty as she does in an Alex Perry gown. From airport style (black hat and sunglasses are the perfect accoutrements when you've just come off a long flight) to a family photo-call with fellow L'Oréal ambassadors Eva Longoria, Doutzen Kroes, Cheryl Cole and Jane Fonda, this Aussie beauty sure did us proud at the most glamorous film festival event of the year. Watch the video above to step into a day in the life at Cannes.
Last night marked the 175th birthday for the iconic Australian retailer, David Jones. Many of our favourite Aussie beauties —including David Jones ambassador Megan Gale, Jesinta Campbell and Jessica Gomes — flocked to the black-tie, cocktail event to join in on the big birthday bash. Off-the-face hair and smoky, accentuated eyes were the trend of the night, paired with a glossy red or nude lip — timeless beauty classics!
