Lleyton and Bec Hewitt announced the name of their new baby daughter this morning and it’s Ava Sydney Hewitt. In the message the couple said, “We've finally decided on a name for Mia & Cruz's baby sister. Ava Sydney Hewitt. We love being a little family of 5. Thanks, Lleyton.” The baby was born on Saturday and the couple have been criticised for charging fans $2 to receive an exclusive SMS message announcing the name. Ava certainly seems to be a popular moniker, with Hugh Jackman, Reese Witherspoon and Heather Locklear all having daughters sporting the same name. What do you think of the much-anticipated baby name?
Tennis star Lleyton Hewitt and his wife Bec welcomed their third child early last week. The baby girl was born at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. The couple already have two children, Mia, 4, and Cruz, 1. According to Woman’s Day, the baby arrived six weeks earlier than expected, with Bec being rushed to hospital from her home in Dural. The baby’s original due date was December, but mother and daughter are both fine after a short, complication-free labour. Lleyton announced the news on the couple’s blog saying:
Bec, Mia, Cruz and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl into our family last Tuesday. Mum and baby are great! Dad, big sister and brother elated.
The baby's name has not been announced and will be sent to subscribers to their blog via SMS this week. Congratulations to the new parents!
