She went for a bare nail that was accented with a chromatic gold tip. To re-create her look, the key is to start off with a flattering base coat, such as Butter London's Nail Foundation ($24.95). This subtly tinted polish will hide any imperfections in the nail but still allow your natural nail to show through. Once you apply your base coat, use a metallic gold polish, like Ciaté Sand Dune (approx $15.30), to polish the tip. Finish the look with a glossy top coat for a "polished" look.

Makeup artist Jillian Dempsey's goal was to play up Jennifer's striking blue eyes in a way that was sophisticated but still playful. Smouldering, smoky eyes were perfectly offset by punchy peach lipstick.

Jillian started by swiping on Giorgio Armani's Maestro Liquid Eyeliner ($45) for a sexy, winged-out cat eye. She then blended grey and champagne hues over Jennifer's lids, finishing the eyes with several coats of Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes Mascara ($52). Baby-pink lipstick and a pop of Hourglass Sheer Cheek Stain in Peachy Pink pulled the look together. The result was an updated Bardot silhouette, ideal for a modern-day beauty icon like Jennifer.

It was all about The Hunger Games at the People's Choice Awards today, as the film took home five awards, including favourite movie and favourite onscreen chemistry. Katniss Everdeen herself, Jennifer Lawrence, was on hand to represent the franchise, and she also picked up her own award for favourite movie actress. The other Jennifer — Aniston, that is — scored the trophy for favourite comedic actress, while Robert Downey Jr. picked up a pair of awards for his role in The Avengers.

On the TV side of things, Chris Colfer and Lea Michele earned his and hers statuettes for favorite comedic TV actor and actress, while Supernatural and Grey's Anatomy also got some love.
