Jennifer Lopez sparkled at the Premios Juventud show, an award ceremony that honours Spanish-speaking celebrities for their work in film, music, television, movies, sports, and fashion, on Friday night in Miami. Not only did Jennifer accept an award at the event, but she also gave a spark-filled performance with her frequent collaborator Pitbull. Other notable performances of the night came from Ricky Martin, who showed up to the event in all white, and Jennifer's ex Marc Anthony.
Jennifer was recently spotted squeezing in some relaxation time on the beach, but it was a brief respite before she began a series of appearances and performances, including a set at the British Summer Time Hyde Park festival in London. Jennifer Lopez received the 2,500th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today and was joined by friends and loved ones for the long-anticipated celebration. After her star unveiling, the actress and singer cuddled up for pictures with her parents, David and Guadalupe; her sister, Lynda; and her twin children, Emme and Max. Casper Smart was on hand for his girlfriend's big-time recognition, as was Jennifer's good friend and music collaborator Pitbull. While Jennifer took the stage with Pitbull on Tuesday to perform at the Hollywood Bowl, today he attended the ceremony to speak about his friend's many great accomplishments. Jennifer's Monster-in-Law co-star Jane Fonda and former dance buddy Keenen Ivory Wayans also spoke in her honour.
Jennifer's special star unveiling comes a day after she reunited with her ex-husband Marc Anthony to spend family time with their children. Her personal excursion was a breather from a busy month. Jennifer was overseas in early June to perform at the Chime For Change charity benefit in London, nabbed the humanitarian award at an amfAR gala last week, and has officially signed on to co-star with Antonio Banderas in the Chilean-miner-inspired film The 33.
The 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards took over Frankfurt, Germany, early this morning, where some of the world’s biggest music acts performed and received honours in front of their peers and fans. British singer Rita Ora opened the show with an electric performance of “R.I.P.” that Kim Kardashian said was her highlight of the event. “We Are Young” rockers fun. took to the stage soon after, and two of the year’s biggest tracks, “Call Me Maybe” and “Gangnam Style,” were performed by Carly Rae Jepsen and Psy respectively. Music veterans Alicia Keys and No Doubt wowed the crowds and Taylor Swift closed the Heidi Klum-hosted show with a circus-inspired rendition of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” The big winners of the MTV EMAs include Taylor, One Direction, Justin Bieber and Lana Del Rey — you can find the full list of winners here.
Las Vegas got a megadose of star power during Saturday night's iHeartRadio Music Festival. Rihanna, No Doubt and Lil Wayne kept the crowd on their feet during the first night of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, and then on Saturday night, Taylor Swift, Pink, Enrique Iglesias and more were given the same task. The evening got started with a high-energy set from Pink, who performed acrobatic stunts and belted out hits like "Raise Your Glass," "Just Like a Pill," and her latest single, "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)."
Taylor Swift brought an element of sparkle to the show, stepping out in a sequin top and later changing into an equally glittery dress. She sang her chart-topping hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and broke out her guitar for fan favorites "You Belong With Me" and "Mean." There were also a ton of surprises sprinkled throughout the four-hour block of music. The Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev introduced Taylor while Prince joined Mary J. Blige for a duet. Country star Brad Paisley, rapper Pitbull, and Aerosmith also joined in the fun and put on wild shows for the crowd.
Stars came out to attend Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton in LA last night despite the tragic news of Whitney Houston's death yesterday afternoon. Clive, who started Whitney's career and remained close to the singer, asked that guests observe a moment of silence for Whitney during the event and shared, "She loved music and loved this night that celebrated music. Whitney would have asked that the music go on. And her family said the show should go on." Clive was just one of many celebrities who commented on Whitney's death yesterday, including Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey.

The American Music Awards were jam-packed with flashy performances after a daring red carpet for the women and leather-loving guys. Rihanna opened the night sporting a bikini ensemble for her three-song medley. Her good friend Katy Perry had her own moment in the spotlight wearing a skintight red bodysuit after ripping off her skirt, while pregnant Pink put on a lively show, though the mum-to-be kept the acrobatics to a minimum.
