Glamorous events, behind-the-scenes love and even a honeymoon shot were just some of the things we came across on celebrities’ social media accounts this week. Rebel Wilson was honoured with the Film Actress award at the Glamour UK Women of the Year Awards and was presented by none other than Kylie Minogue, and the funny star joked that they were “bogans forever!” Jesinta Campbell tried on a cute pair of sunnies at a fashion showing, and Delta Goodrem got some love from her fellow The Voice coach Ricky Martin, while Jake Wall snapped a picture of his wife Jennifer Hawkins “in paradise” on their honeymoon.

Rebel Wilson is an actor, writer, producer and all-round hilarious lady — now she can add magazine cover girl to that list! Glamour UK released the cover of its annual Women of the Year issue to coincide with their Women of the Year Awards, which were held on Tuesday night, and Rebel is front and centre, posing in a bubble bath. “Thank you Glamour UK for making me a covergirl . . . My first ever magazine cover,” the actress tweeted, and on top of that she was awarded the Film Actress prize on the night, and had it presented to her by fellow Aussie Kylie Minogue. She also shared an anecdote with the publication about doing a TV show episode with Joan Collins years ago, and how Joan thought she was one of the caterers. “Now I see her here, she’s presenting an award, I’m getting an award . . . My, what two years can do.”

We were delighted to read a recent tweet from Aussie funny girl, Rebel Wilson, saying: "My first ever magazine cover..bubble bath x". That's right, the fast-rising star who we've loved since Fat Pizza in 2003, covers this month's Glamour issue in the UK. Rebel's gone from strength to strength — hosting the MTV Movie Awards, landing roles in Pitch Perfect and starring in her own American TV show, Super Fun Night — and now, a cover girl. We can't wait to see what this blonde beauty will be up to next!

Many of England's finest hit the red carpet last night in London for the annual Glamour UK Women of the Year Awards. Victoria Beckham, who wore a black Marc Jacobs pantsuit, brought her son Brooklyn as her date for the award ceremony, which honours the most inspirational ladies in various fields, from entertainment and sports to politics and business. While walking the red carpet, Victoria was asked what her husband, David Beckham, was up to following his soccer retirement. She replied that David has "lots of clever ideas."

While David was unable to attend the Glamour UK Awards, other stars like model Cara Delevingne and singers Rita Ora, Kylie Minogue and Ellie Goulding mingled at the glossy event, where American television actress Hayden Panettiere also made an appearance in a striped dress before heading inside. Rebel Wilson takes centre stage on her new show Super Fun Night, which she created and produces. Gone is the Australian accent in favour of an American one as she portrays junior attorney Kimmie Boubier, who for the past 13 years has spent every Friday night indoors with her two best friends Helen-Alice (Liza Lapira) and Marika (Lauren Ash). She decides it’s time to shake up their girls’ night in routine when she gets promoted and receives an invite from her office crush, Richard (Kevin Bishop), to a party at his club.

The first trailer is peppered with Rebel’s signature humour, even though it’s a little odd to hear her delivery in an American accent. And there’s the usual over-the-top character behaviour seen in most sitcoms. Still, it’s great to see three very different girls in the lead roles. The show is executively produced by Conan O’Brien and was picked up by US network ABC in the timeslot just after Modern Family. No word yet on if or when it will come to Australia (surely a local network will pick it up) but you can watch the first preview after the break.

Rebel Wilson’s career is going from strength to strength after it was announced she’ll be getting her own TV show in the US.

Rebel Wilson’s career is going from strength to strength after it was announced she’ll be getting her own TV show in the US. Titled Super Fun Night, the series’ premise follows three nerdy girlfriends who want to make sure every Friday night is a “super fun” one. US network ABC picked up the comedy, which was created by Rebel — on top of starring she’ll also produce. Conan O’Brien is also on board as an executive producer.

It’s just the latest example of Rebel having Hollywood wrapped around her finger. She’s raised her profile thanks to scene-stealing roles in Bridesmaids, Bachelorette and Pitch Perfect, and last month she had the honour of hosting the MTV Movie Awards. Her Australian TV credits include Pizza, The Wedge and Bogan Pride, which she wrote, produced and starred in.
