We sat down with him during a recent press day in the UK, where he chatted with us about the serious weather they faced during filming and his leading lady, Kristen Stewart. Rupert shared that Kristen was tenacious and rebellious, and he even addressed her tendency for on-set injuries. Watch our interview with Rupert now!
Kristen Stewart Returns to LA After a Quick Sydney Stop For SWATH
Kristen Stewart was spotted boarding a flight from Sydney to LA on Wednesday, and was yesterday already seen making her way through LAX. The actress rugged up for her departure in a beanie and jacket but had lost the Winter essentials by the time she arrived in the States. Kristen’s short and sweet visit to Australia was to promote her action blockbuster Snow White and the Huntsman (in cinemas now), which included press commitments with co-star Chris Hemsworth and director Rupert Sanders, and a white carpet premiere at Westfield Bondi Junction on Tuesday night, where she wowed in a beaded Balmain two-piece outfit.
Snow White and the Huntsman: A Fairy Tale For the Action Fan
A re-imagining of a familiar tale like Snow White has to have a twist to make it compelling, and Snow White and the Huntsman has two: there is heaps of action, and the damsel in distress is actually a fearless leader. The princess in question is played by Kristen Stewart, who's a long way from the Twilight Saga, but alas, she's still in a state of constant mortal danger. Her evil stepmother, Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron), hates the girl whose pure, beautiful spirit is a threat to her power. After killing the king, Ravenna imprisons the princess and lets the kingdom fall into a state of poverty and decay until the day Snow White escapes. The queen sends a handsome huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) after her, but he quickly switches sides and allies with Snow White to help her dethrone the queen.

The movie kicks into high gear once Snow White turns her jailbreak into an attack on the queen, though there are a few times when things slow down for a few unnecessary story elements. The film feels overstuffed at times, but there's enough action and romantic drama to make it a fun fantasy worth seeing. To find out what else I thought of Snow White and the Huntsman, just keep reading.

The Lips Don't Lie at the Snow White Sydney Premiere
It may have been all about Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth at the Snow White and the Huntsman Sydney premiere last night, but local celebs were hard to ignore thanks to their impressive hair and makeup skills. Jess and Lisa Origliasso of The Veronicas, Rebecca Breeds and Sophie Lowe were just a few of the famous faces who chose to highlight their lips in honour of the blockbuster movie, proving that there's no better accessory than a good lipstick when you want to make maximum impact with minimum effort. Aussie Stars Support Chris Hemsworth at His Big SWATH Sydney Premiere
Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth may have headlined last night’s Sydney premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman at Westfield Bondi Junction, but there were plenty of Australian stars out in force walking the long white carpet as well. Home and Away was well represented, with former star Kate Ritchie, Steve Peacocke, and newly-engaged Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds in attendance. Chris got his big break on Home and Away many years ago and has said it was a great foundation for his career. The Veronicas, Lisa and Jess Origliasso, wore Wheels & Dollbaby for the premiere, and Erin McNaught matched the night’s theme in white at one of her last Sydney events before making the move to Europe. Sophie Lowe, Verne Troyer, Laura Csortan and Michelle Bridges rounded out the crowd.
The Kristen Stewart 2-Shade Smoky Eye Makeup Look You Have to Try
At last night's Snow White and the Huntsman premiere in Sydney, Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet wearing a smoky/cat eye hybrid. And while the sultry style looked complex, it's a lot easier to achieve than you'd expect: the trick is to use a combination of two dark colours for a diffused effect. Mark. celebrity makeup artist Mai Quynh began by sweeping the copper shade of the brand's eyeshadow on the lower eyelids using a flat eyeliner brush. Then she used the same brush to smudge the black hue of the shadow on the top lash lines, extending the stroke out to a wing shape. To finish, she combined the black and copper shades together, smudging them along the lower lash lines. A pop of coral lipstick on the lips elevated the look to superstar status. Achieve a similar look with MAC eye shadow in Red Brick and Knight Divine ($33 each).
Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth Premiere SWATH in Sydney
Kristen Stewart wore Balmain last night for the premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman in Sydney. She was joined on the carpet by her leading man Chris Hemsworth, as well as director Rupert Sanders. Kristen arrived Down Under on Sunday, and was seen meeting up with friends for lunch on Monday. Chris arrived a few days early as well — there was even time for Chris to get shirtless for a pool day before his press duties commenced.
Kristen had kind words for Chris and how much fun it was to work with him. She said, "He is literally one of the nicest guys I have ever met." Kristen was also asked about visiting with Australian relatives, as it's her mum Jules' native country. Kristen replied, "My relatives basically live in Vancouver now, which is very odd . . . I've only been here a few times as well, maybe two or three times not to work, and that is ridiculous. I would like to come back more." As she headed inside for the screening, Kristen, true to form, swapped her high heels for a pair of Converse sneakers.
Kristen Stewart Goes Sexy in Balmain at the Snow White and the Huntsman Premiere in Sydney
Snow White and the Huntsman won't hit screens until next week, but last night Sydney celebrated the movie's premiere with another stunning look from Kristen Stewart. Did you see Pop's cute red carpet snap with K.Stew? For her solo red carpet appearance, Kristen made an exotic statement in a gorgeous forest green and gold embroidered look from Balmain's Autumn/Winter collection (notice how the colour perfectly matches her eyes?). No doubt, Kristen has come a long way since her shy red carpet appearances for Twilight; here, the actress exudes confidence in Balmain's formfitting two-piece ensemble finished off with gold, crystal-adorned Christian Louboutin pumps. Click the slideshow to see her jaw-dropping look, and if you've missed a moment of Charlize and Kristen's SWATH world tour premiere looks, it's all right here, too!
