We sat down with Snow White and the Huntsman's Evil Queen, Charlize Theron, at a recent press day in England. The star opened up about her dark role and shared that she was "shocked" when she finally saw the film on the big screen. Chris Hemsworth didn’t waste any time lazing around after landing in Sydney on Saturday — the Snow White and the Huntsman hottie headed to Maroubra Beach for a surf! He was wiped out by the big waves, which apparently broke his friend’s surfboard, but the actor managed to keep a handsome smile on his face most times. And yesterday the hunk stripped shirtless for a dip in his hotel pool.
The trip home to promote his latest blockbuster is also a chance for Chris to catch up with Melbourne-based relatives — he has been spotted on the balcony of his hotel with his mum, dad and grandfather today — but he didn't bring along his newest family member, baby daughter India, and wife Elsa Pataky to Australia with him. On how fatherhood has changed him, he said, “Work all paled into the background as soon as I had a baby. She has taken up all of my attention in the best way.” Chris’ SWATH co-star Kristen Stewart is also in the country and made a low-key arrival at the airport yesterday. Together with their director, Rupert Sanders, the stars will walk the white carpet at SWATH’s premiere at Westfield Bondi Junction tomorrow night ahead of the film’s June 21 release.
Kristen Stewart landed in Sydney yesterday to continue her Snow White and the Huntsman promotion in Australia. The actress made her way through the airport in a red hoodie, jeans and sneakers, keeping in line with her favourite in-transit uniform! There’s a lot of buzz surrounding Kristen’s career at the moment, and it’s not all SWATH-related. The Vanity Fair cover girl won best kiss at the MTV Movie Awards a few weeks ago, a joint honour with her onscreen and real-life boyfriend Robert Pattinson, and new images from Breaking Dawn Part 2 were just released last week. Sharon Martin, head makeup artist for Snow White and the Huntsman, had little time to do touch-ups on set. And even though cheek stains are known for being long-lasting to begin with, Martin knew she had to make actress Kristen Stewart's flushed-from-within glow last and last. To do this, she applied Benefit's The POREfessional ($53) as a base. Not only did this simple step make Kristen's stain virtually budge-proof, but it also helped her makeup withstand some of the more action-intensive scenes.
Chris Hemsworth took a casual approach to his latest red carpet appearance at the MTV Movie Awards today. The Australian actor has had a busy few months on multiple press tours for The Avengers and Snow White and the Huntsman, and will return to Sydney in two weeks’ time to promote the latter film with co-star Kristen Stewart. Work isn’t the only thing that’s kept him busy though, since he and his wife Elsa Pataky welcomed their first child, a daughter named India, earlier this month!
