Jessica Alba was in Paris Thursday night for a premiere of The Killer Inside Me. Her costars Casey Affleck and Kate Hudson weren't able to attend, but the trio got together in April to show off their movie during the Tribeca Film Festival. Kate has been focusing on filming Something Borrowed in NYC and has another adventure in the works as well: her new relationship with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy. Jessica's currently promoting their thriller, but she'll be showing her lighter side shortly in the upcoming film Little Fockers.
It's official: winter has arrived. Though we'll have to take a raincheck on those beach-parties over the next few months, 'tis the perfect season for one of our fave pasttimes—snuggling up with a good book. Whether you need something a lil' frothy or some more serious fare, I have a few recommendations for you to crack open. And of course, me being Pop, they're all works that are currently being adapted for movies or TV shows. Check out my recommended reading list now!
John Krasinski went with casual khaki shorts and white tee yesterday while filming on location in the Hamptons with Ginnifer Goodwin. The Something Borrowed pair spent the afternoon running around in the sand, but there was no sign of their costar Kate Hudson. In the novel, John's character is a long-distance friend living in London, though it seems they've written his Ethan more into the script for the movie version. Later in the afternoon, the Office star was joined by his real life leading lady, fiancée Emily Blunt, and their dog for a romantic walk on the beach.
I've always had a soft spot for Krasinski, and I particularly loved watching him ham it up in It's Complicated. Though it sounds like he's trying to break into something outside the rom-com realm, I'm happy to have him stick around for now. Fans of the books—is Krasinski a good fit?
Ginnifer Goodwin is looking for another kind of big love: the actress is in talks to star in Something Borrowed, the movie adaptation of Emily Giffin's best-selling novel about a woman whose love triangle threatens an engagement.
Goodwin knows a thing or two about love triangles (and beyond) from her TV role as Big Love's Margene, but I'm pretty excited to see her try her hand at another romantic comedy—especially since He's Just Not That Into isn't exactly my favourite.
