Taylor Swift indulged in some retail therapy with friends on Brunswick Street in Melbourne yesterday. She wore a cute cream dress and blue shoes that matched the number ‘13’ drawn on her hand. The country star’s shopping jaunt came after a successful night of performing in the city, which she tweeted was “wonderful.” She enjoyed her second night just as much, writing, “MELBOURNE NIGHT 2- YOU WERE SO LOUD, I HAD TO WRITE IT IN ALL CAPS. What a pleasure, getting to play for a crowd like that.” Since landing in Australia almost two weeks ago, Taylor has had lots of downtime to enjoy things like going to the beach, celebrating her dad’s birthday, and seeing sights by night on boat rides. After she wraps up the Aussie leg of her Speak Now tour, she’ll head to New Zealand.

That night she played a second sold-out Sydney show at Allphones Arena for thousands of fans, and she tweeted that her first show on Friday was “earth-shatteringly loud.” Taylor has spent lots of her downtime in Australia with her family, and she celebrated her dad’s birthday a week ago. But that’s not all Taylor has to celebrate — she was named Billboard’s top money maker in 2011 with earnings exceeding $35 million. She’s now in Melbourne for another round of performances.

The singer, who has been touring around the US and recently scooped honours at the Teen Choice Awards, spoke to Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O this morning to answer fan questions, share some tour secrets and talk about her celebrity BFFs. Being such a sweet and charming personality, Taylor is never short of friends, and told the breakfast radio duo about who she considers to be her celebrity besties: “My friends are amazing and I’m so thankful to have them, [but] the ones that are like sisters to me are Selena Gomez and Emma Stone . . . They can predict my thoughts; I’ve known them for so long it’s really cool to have friends that are that close.”

But the country star known for her sweet nature once again proved that she’s able to rap just as well as she croons when she performed a rendition of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” at her recent concert in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With her ever-present guitar, Taylor greeted the crowds with a “Yo!” before getting into Eminem’s hit. She then segued into Uncle Kracker’s “Smile.” It’s not the first time Taylor has shown off her rapping chops — she collaborated with T-Pain on “Thug Story” under the gangster name T-Swizzle!

Antique lover Taylor Swift couldn't pass up the opportunity to browse through the treasures of London's famous Portobello Road yesterday. She's on the UK leg of her worldwide Speak Now tour that has already taken her to Italy, Japan and Germany. Taylor's prepping for tonight's show in Birmingham while her rumoured boyfriend, Chord Overstreet, is on his way back to the West Coast from NYC. She'll take a break from touring at the end of the month and resume performances in May. The break from travel will give Taylor a chance to rest her voice and brush up on her rhyming skills as she'll soon be joining Betty White and Zac Efron in the 3D animated big-screen adaptation of Dr. Seuss's The Lorax.
