What a week! Alexa Chung and Stella McCartney both gave us the thumbs up, Megan Gale kept herself busy on location at her Isola swimwear shoot in Sydney's northern beaches, designer Michael Lo Sordo visited our new favourite breakfast spot, and Heidi Klum got kicky on set of Project Runway. Add to that every Victoria's Secret model (that we keep tabs on, anyway) posing up a storm: Erin Heatherton reclining in lingerie, Karlie Kloss working it on the street, Chanel Iman showing off her killer swimsuit body and Behati Prinsloo creepin' around NYC. Splendour in the Grass has wrapped up for yet another year, and even though we didn't nab tickets to the Byron Bay music festival that doesn't mean we can't snoop the festival fashion that was on show. Rain proved no obstacle to style, with the well-seasoned festival crowd taking our celeb-inspired advice on what to wear. Add a little on-stage magic to the eclectic mix thanks to Kimbra and Azealia Banks attention-getting ensembles and you've got one fabulously mixed bag of festival 'fits! It was a weekend filled with amazing sounds, crazy weather patterns and fellow music festival lovers for those who headed to Byron Bay for Splendour in the Grass. We’re trying our hardest to not get jealous, but lots of sunny Byron Bay photos have been popping up on our social media feeds, meaning people are ready for this year’s Splendour in the Grass. Since we can’t be there to see the likes of Jack White, the Smashing Pumpkins, Lana Del Rey, Gossip, Angus Stone, Kimbra and more, we’re doing the next best thing: listening to their music while perusing pictures from Splendour in years past.

We get just as excited by a stellar line-up as we do by the fashion when it comes to music festivals. Cue loads of people watching and outfit stalking, as well as the perfect excuse to bust out our closet crochet collection, that otherwise is a little too Almost-Famous-extra for everyday wear. Pity then that we didn't get ourselves tickets to this weekend's Splendour in the Grass festival. Instead, we're putting our envy to good use by collating the top five abolute essential items for anyone winging their way to Byron Bay today. Taking our off-duty cues from the girls who know the side-of-stage dress code, Alexa, the Kates' collective, Alessandra and Rosie have kindly provided the perfect styling inspo' to (shamelessly) steal. 

She's here for a series of sold-out shows, culminating with a performance at Splendour in the Grass this Sunday, so it's safe to say that Lana Del Rey is hot property in Australia. With her beehive hairstyles laden with flowers and wreaths, her bee-stung lips and cat-eye liner, the singing sensation is a walking tribute to the retro beauty queens of the '60s. We love the way Lana always gives us a show with her beauty looks — she's the ultimate performer. To celebrate her trip to Oz and her highly anticipated Sunday Splendour performance, we're taking a look back at her best beauty looks.

Around 30,000 people travelled to Woodford in Queensland for Splendour in the Grass over the weekend. Eagle-eyed festival goers may have spotted Kate Moss on Friday, who was there to support her husband Jamie Hince and The Kills. Other acts who rocked the event on Friday include Modest Mouse, The Hives, Does It Offend You, Yeah? and, of course, Kanye West, who closed the first night with a spectacular set that included 30 dancers. Saturday saw artists such as Regina Spektor and Perry Farnell take to the stage, and then on Sunday night it was all about Coldplay, who closed the festival. Chris Martin smashed two guitars during his show, and the band played a sweet Amy Winehouse tribute by singing a bit of “Rehab” before segueing into “Fix You.” Unfortunately rumours that Jay-Z and Gwyneth Paltrow had flown in for Splendour proved to be false, but it was still a memorable music event that pleased tens of thousands of music lovers.
