Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek have been travelling the globe to promote their new animation, Puss in Boots, a spin-off from the successful Shrek franchise. They’re currently in town for the Australian leg of the tour, which included a fun premiere in Sydney yesterday. The festive atmosphere of the film was recreated at the Entertainment Quarter yesterday, with a long yellow carpet covered by a multi-coloured tent and piñatas. Pre-show entertainment included a band and traditional Spanish dancers. A life-size Puss walked the carpet before his voice actor Antonio, who signed autographs for fans and then joined leading lady Salma to pose with the cat. The sunny weather also meant it was a great family day out for some Aussie stars who attended, including Amanda Keller, Larry Emdur, Napoleon Perdis, and Robert, Bindi and Terri Irwin. Puss in Boots is released in cinemas on Dec. 8.

We’ve already heard that glamour girls Lara Bingle and Brynne Gordon-Edelsten have been confirmed for the next star line up of Dancing With the Stars. Now it’s time to discuss which other Channel Seven personalities have what it takes to tango their way through another glitzy season. There’s talk that The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur could be getting his dance shoes on (don’t you think he sounds like a great pick? His co-host Kylie Gillies has had her turn on the show) while other names thrown into the mix are Kate Ritchie, one of the River Boys from Home and Away, My Kitchen Rules’ Manu Feildel, Packed to the Rafters’ Hugh Sheridan and Terri Irwin. Is there anyone else you’d like to see giving it a whirl (literally)?

Actually make that the “Oprah” House. The first of two big shows at the iconic Australian landmark, tonight’s episode includes guests Terri Irwin and her kids Bindi and Robert (as well as a tribute to the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin), Oprah’s sailing buddy Russell Crowe, Jay-Z and a rocking performance from Bon Jovi. Plus more surprises for very deserving viewers!

The year has started off in such a big way that it’s hard to believe Oprah and her audience were only in Australia a month ago! They were here for just over a week and over the course of their trip they filmed enough footage for four shows instead of the original two. The episodes start airing tonight and the following ones will air tomorrow, Friday and Sunday. Tonight’s show will follow Oprah as she lands in Hamilton Island, meets a “pair of frisky koalas”, checks out the beautiful Great Barrier Reef and has a beach barbeque with Curtis Stone. It also follows her stop in Uluru and meeting with Prime Minister Julia Gillard and a crowd of 10,000 fans in Melbourne. Phew, that’s quite a show — and it’s only the first one! Oprah filmed her first show at the Sydney Opera House this morning and she didn’t disappoint. She danced her way to the stage to the song "Land Down Under” and opened the show with the chant, “Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi.” She was joined by Bon Jovi, Russell Crowe and Jay-Z, as well as Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin. Robert spoke movingly about his beloved dad Steve, which made his mum Terri cry. Bless. Oprah then waved her magic wand, spreading Christmas cheer across Sydney. She gave a $250,000 cheque to cancer sufferer Kristian Anderson and his wife (Kristian made the loving video to his wife featuring Hugh Jackman) and $1 million worth of computer equipment to Canterbury Boys School. Meanwhile, all 6,000 members of her audience received a Kailis Jewellery pearl necklace as a memento. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for show #2. Stay tuned!

Bikini model Lara Bingle may be a contestant on the new season of Dancing with the Stars. Lara has already appeared on Dancing on Ice, so it might not be completely out of the question. Lots of casting rumours are flying around and Kate Ritchie and Terri Irwin’s names have also been thrown into the mix. Lara recently made headlines for having a fling with R&B singer Jason Derulo and her BFF Hermoine Underwood uploaded a video of the two of them singing his hit song, “Ridin’ Solo” to YouTube. Jason must approve because he posted the clip on his Twitter account. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Terri Irwin is sporting some major guns these days after pumping iron hard for the past four years. Terri tells Woman’s Day that she hit the gym soon after losing husband Steve Irwin to help her deal with her grief. She explains:

I really began training hard after losing Steve. I discovered on my own that I could cope better with the crippling effects of grief by taking care of myself. Now I want to tell everyone that when the last thing you want to do is get up and get moving, that’s exactly what you should do. I’m better able to cope on an emotional level when I am healthy. Regular exercise definitely helps you cope with life’s dramas.

Terri also wanted to make sure she was fit enough to continue all of the projects her husband had started. She’s successfully prevented mining in the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve in Cape York and is also a single mum to Bindi, 12 and Robert, 6. What do you think of Terri’s buff new bod?
