TV Talk With Prinnie Stevens on The Celebrity Apprentice and The Voice

Prinnie Stevens was the first person to be eliminated from The Celebrity Apprentice after the fish and chips challenge.

Prinnie Stevens was the first person to be eliminated from The Celebrity Apprentice after the fish and chips challenge. She put her head down and worked hard in the kitchen to cook the food, but in the boardroom her feedback from Mark Bouris was that she didn’t utilise her talent enough (singing) and didn’t hit up her black book of contacts, such as stars from The Voice, for donations. It came down to Prinnie and Big Brother 2012 runner-up Layla Subritzky, but in the end it was Prinnie who had the dreaded words, “You’re fired,” directed at her. I caught up with Prinnie at the CLEO relaunch party to get her scoop on the show, as well as her thoughts on the new season of The Voice.

What was the most surprising thing about doing the show?
Just how much everybody clashes, and just how celebrities don’t get on [laughs]. I thought it was going to be all fun, but there’s a lot of hard work that’s involved, and it’s hard asking people for money for charity — even though we know it’s a great cause, it’s hard to get people excited about giving away their money. But it was a great cause and I enjoyed every second of it.

How did you feel about the boardroom scenes?
So scary! Mr. Bouris is the scariest man I’ve ever met in my life — and the most handsome man I’ve ever met in my life!

Sugar Diary: Our Week in Pics

Well, it's been a fashion- and beauty-filled week, to say the least!

Well, it's been a fashion- and beauty-filled week, to say the least! Much of our time was taken up by the David Jones A/W '13 Fashion Launch, which was held on Wednesday night. Ali and Alison had access to all the behind-the-scenes action, and they spent some time chatting to the gorgeous Miranda Kerr about all things style and beauty. In the office, we were blown away by Beyoncé's crazy-good Super Bowl performance, and Jess scored tickets to an event fit for a princess. In amongst it all, we saw pretty new products, received some exciting deliveries, and made sure we took some time out for a drink (or two!). Click through to see everything else we got up to!

Series two of The Celebrity Apprentice is in its second week, and just like the first series, it’s got people talking. (The most recent conversation point? David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff’s sudden exit last night after only three episodes.) We recently caught up with the show’s youngest celebrities, Nathan Jolliffe and Lauryn Eagle, who talked to us about those intense boardroom scenes and which of the other stars surprised them the most. Read what they had to say after the jump.

5 of Deni Hines' Controversial Quotes on Celebrity Apprentice

Last night’s grand final episode of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia may have been about determining who the winner of the inaugural series was — the delightful Julia Morris — but it also featured a lot of Deni Hines, who emerged as the show’s “villain” from early episodes.

Last night’s grand final episode of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia may have been about determining who the winner of the inaugural series was — the delightful Julia Morris — but it also featured a lot of Deni Hines, who emerged as the show’s “villain” from early episodes. From her refusal to acknowledge The Block winner Polly Porter as a celebrity, to not wanting to ruin her “brand,” to her issues with former Miss Universe Jesinta Campbell, Deni didn’t hold back. Here are some of the controversial things she said on camera during the series:

In the boardroom after being called out for not writing a KFC jingle
“Mr. Bouris, I really have a problem. I write songs for a living. That’s my job. And I just didn’t feel that I could write a song for something I fully don’t believe in. I’m a vegetarian . . . I have a brand to protect. Mine is music. And that’s what I do. And if that’s what gets me fired, then so be it, because I can’t do that.”

Working on a 30-second TVC for Yellow Brick Road
[To Jesinta] “I usually charge a lot of money per word.”
[To camera] “I don’t do jingles.”

Will You Be Watching The Celebrity Apprentice Australia?

The Celebrity Apprentice Australia is premiering tonight after weeks of amusing promos on Channel Nine.

The Celebrity Apprentice Australia is premiering tonight after weeks of amusing promos on Channel Nine. The network is running the program across weeknights at 7 p.m., and on tonight’s episode we’ll meet (or get reacquainted with) the 12 Aussie celebrities putting their business acumen to the test throughout the series. It will also feature their first challenge — a carwash to raise money — and as we learned last month, it involves Jesinta Campbell getting into a bikini and Pauline Hanson stripping down to a pair of AussieBum undies (for $50,000). The format of the show will have celebrity challenges screening on Mondays and Wednesdays, with firings by host Mark Bouris occurring on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If that’s not enough, Fridays will air behind-the-scenes footage.

The 12 celebrities on the show will definitely divide viewers; they seem to be made up of a few ‘love ’em or hate ’em’ personalities. The winning celebrity will earn $100,000 for their chosen charity. Will you be tuning in to The Celebrity Apprentice Australia?

The Celebrity Apprentice Australia premieres tonight at 7 p.m. on Channel Nine.

Would You Watch Lindsay Lohan on The Celebrity Apprentice?

Lindsay Lohan may be currently spending her days hiding her SCRAM under jumpsuits, but the alcohol-monitoring anklet isn't keeping her from potential new projects.

Lindsay Lohan may be currently spending her days hiding her SCRAM under jumpsuits, but the alcohol-monitoring anklet isn't keeping her from potential new projects. Apparently Donald Trump has his sights set on Lohan for the next season of The Celebrity Apprentice.

Of course, nothing is ever set in stone with Lohan—between her legal issues and upcoming films, it's probably hard for the actress to commit to the reality program. I'm not a die-hard fan of Trump's show, but I have to admit I'm curious to see how Lohan would fare as an entrepreneur. What's your take—would you be interested in watching Lohan on The Celebrity Apprentice?

New Couple Alert: Curtis Stone and Lindsay Price

Celebrity chef Curtis Stone has hooked up with TV actress Lindsay Price.

Celebrity chef Curtis Stone has hooked up with TV actress Lindsay Price. If she looks familiar, but you can’t quite place her, she was fashion designer Victory Ford on Lipstick Jungle and played nerdy Janet on the original Beverly Hills, 90210. Things must be serious between the two because they flew into Melbourne to watch the Grand Prix this weekend and are in town to catch up with Curtis’ sister, who is about to have a baby. Curtis is currently a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice in the US and is based in LA. Meanwhile, Lindsay was dating How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor (Ted Mosby) before splitting last year and is working on a new TV pilot. What do you think of this twosome?
