Jenna Dewan Tatum stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to chat about her new show Witches of East End and, of course, her new baby girl, Everly, with husband Channing Tatum. The beefcake actor is apparently a big softie when it comes to his daughter, and he's not afraid to show off his expert nappy-changing skills. Channing also has a special skill when it comes to calming Everly down: beatboxing! Adorable little Everly sounds just as smitten with daddy as the rest of the world already. Check out the cute clip.
Jennifer Aniston will be co-hosting Ellen this week, and apparently she was a little nervous about the gig. So who does she turn to for advice? Her former Friend Matthew Perry! Watch Jen stop by Matthew's house for pointers (and Friends jokes), only to find a few exciting surprise visitors. Later in the show, Ellen puts Jen in the hot seat about whether or not she'd be up for an even bigger Friends reunion, and Portia de Rossi stops by to talk about Ellen's love for moving and real estate. The episode airs today, but watch the clip now!
Ellen DeGeneres recently taped her first episode back in her LA studios after returning from her week-long trip to Australia last week. And she kicked things off with some very exciting news: a sequel to Finding Nemo is finally in the works! Titled Finding Dory, it’s based on lovable, forgetful Blue Tang fish famously voiced by the talk show host, and will feature lots of the characters from the first film. To announce the movie news, Ellen looked back at the many times she’s referenced on her show why Oscar-winning Finding Nemo hasn’t received a sequel, but she added that she’s thrilled director Andrew Stanton and Disney•Pixar have taken it into production, and joked, “They say I’m one of the top five contenders to play the part of Dory.” Finding Dory is slated for a 2015 release, “But in Australia, I think that’s tomorrow,” said Ellen.
That’s not all Ellen had to share with her fans on this taping. She ended the show with some footage of her first day in Sydney, from her big welcome at the airport to catching a ferry in Sydney Harbour. Get a glimpse of Ellen’s Aussie trip after the break.
Ellen DeGeneres has left the country! After a whirlwind Australian tour that kicked off last Friday, the popular talk show host has boarded a plane from Melbourne to head back to LA, with her wife, Portia de Rossi, mother, Betty, and crew in tow. A recent bout of the flu meant Ellen’s trip Down Under, which was sponsored by Swisse Vitamins and Qantas, had to be cut short — her team reportedly cancelled a relaxing getaway in Queensland that had been booked for the tail-end of her trip — but in the five days she was here Ellen spread her infectious joy to thousands of people. She managed to tick off requisite touristy things like visiting Taronga Zoo and posing with Sydney’s landmarks, and also made some appearances of a more personal nature, like dropping by Portia’s old school in Melbourne.
Ellen has always had a huge fan base in Australia and this past week she returned the love, even hinting at the possibility we could see her here on a permanent basis — but that’s way off in the future. Click through to see the highlights of Ellen’s Australian trip.
Ellen DeGeneres pulled off her second Australian show today at Melbourne’s Birrarung Marr Park. Thousands of her fans turned up to the location — more than at her Sydney show, which she acknowledged when she said, “You beat Sydney” — including school kids who took the day off to see the talk show queen. Ellen’s show was meant to kick off at 11 a.m. but she was held up and made it onto the custom-built stage around midday. She apologised to the crowd, saying, “Long story short, I was in a kangaroo pouch for about an hour.”
The show seemed to follow a similar format to the Sydney taping and even repeated one of the celebrity guests, Jessica Mauboy, who once again assisted with a musical game. Male underwear models took to the stage, stripping to a pair of striped Ellen-branded briefs, and Ellen also demonstrated her generosity again when she gave $10,000 to a viewer named Daniel, who has been diagnosed with leukaemia.
The large fan numbers meant about 1,500 missed out on a spot in the main area, which held about 3,500 people. To make sure their patience was rewarded, Ellen popped over to the second area to say hello. And while it seems the people of Australia have won Ellen’s heart, she didn’t hold back when expressing who her top Aussie is, saying, “I’d like to introduce you to my favourite Australian: my wife, Portia de Rossi,” when presenting her wife to the crowd.
Thousands of Australians made The Ellen Show history on Saturday when they attended the first taping of the show outside of the US. Details of the pre-recorded show were shared on Twitter, and diehard Ellen DeGeneres fans made their way to the Opera on the Harbour at the Royal Botanic Gardens decked out in Australian dress, as the talk show queen had requested.
Ellen and wife Portia de Rossi arrived on a water taxi and were greeted by deafening screams. She had a star-studded roster of celebrities on hand to help with the proceedings. Russell Crowe kicked things off — literally — when he launched footballs into the crowd and gave Ellen and Portia with matching stock whips, while Jessica Mauboy helped a fan with a ‘Finish This Lyric’ musical game. There was also no shortage of eye candy — Ellen had the company of some Rabbitohs and Sydney Swans on stage, as well as underwear models who showcased fluoro pink versions of her famous Ellen undies.
There were also lots of competitions scattered throughout the taping, giving regular Aussies the chance to earn some cash. A version of Ellen’s ‘Know or Go’ game was set up right on top of the water so that contestants were dunked straight into the harbour if they got answers wrong, while a young Sydney couple were given $10,000 after playing a round of the Gold Digger game, where money flies around in a small booth.
At the end of the day Ellen hit Twitter again to express her thanks to her Sydney fans. “That was incredible. I'm so grateful to my friends @SwisseUSA & everyone who showed up in Sydney that made this a day I'll never forget.”
It’s the trip millions of Australian Ellen DeGeneres fans have been waiting for, and she’s almost here! Ellen and wife Portia de Rossi are tipped to arrive in the country tomorrow after a delayed departure, along with Ellen’s mum, Betty, and some of her producers. Her Australian tour is the result of a partnership with supplements brand Swisse Vitamins as they launch their products in the US, and Qantas also has a big role in bringing her out here. But what will she be getting up to? The exact details of her itinerary are one big secret, but here’s what we do know . . .
There is a lot of love for Ellen DeGeneres in Australia, proven by all the excitement over her announcement that she's coming here for the first time in March. To ensure Ellen Fever doesn't die down before then, the popular daytime TV host posted a series of tweets on her Twitter account yesterday, telling fans, "Tomorrow's a big day, Australia. If you're near the Sydney opera house, you may wanna pack a bag and get your passport ready. Seriously." Fans speculated that she'd be sending people to the States and she confirmed when she wrote, "Before I go down under, someone in Sydney's gonna have a chance to come up over. I hope you're free tomorrow at 9:30am." People started gathering at the Opera House steps overnight, with one man claiming his spot since 5 p.m. yesterday. The Ellen Show executive producer Andy Lassner, who has been in Sydney scouting for locations, also tweeted, "Everyone who comes tomorrow will be part of the Ellen Show & so even if you don't win a prize you'll be shown on the show."
It's the announcement Australian Ellen DeGeneres fans have been waiting to hear for what seems like forever: Ellen is coming to Australia! The comedian made the announcement on her show with the help of special guest Nicole Kidman during the taping of her show on Thursday. Swisse Vitamins is partnering with Ellen for 12 months as they launch in the US — Nicole is the brand's global ambassador — and Ellen said, "I love [Swisse] because they're an Australian company and they wanna help me get to Australia. So I am actually for the first time in my life going to Australia in March . . . I'm going in March and I'm going to shoot a bunch of stuff in Melbourne and Sydney — we're gonna do tape pieces and meet the fans and hang out."
After Nicole gave Ellen some suggestions on where to go and what to see, including the beautiful beaches and perhaps a dip in a "magical" watering hole in Kununurra, and tried to imitate a kookaburra, Ellen announced that she was going to give one audience member the chance to also visit Australia. Then she mentioned that her birthday fell on Australia Day (Jan. 26) and said, "For my birthday I like to give gifts. Everybody knows that. So I've decided instead that everyone here is going to Australia." The audience went crazy but before you think Ellen is coming to Australia Oprah Winfrey-style, it seems her visit Down Under will be more low-key, without grand shows staged at iconic venues like the Opera House.

Ellen DeGeneres counselled Justin Bieber on his Grammy's snub and the overalls incident with the Prime Minister of Canada when he stopped by her talk show yesterday. He was there to promote his new acoustic album and show off his owl tattoo. We have it all in today's PopSugar Rush — click to watch!
