The
first trailer for Eclipse hit the Internet just a few hours ago, and now that the initial excitement has calmed a bit (oh who are we kidding? Will Kristen and Rob-mania
ever die?), it's time to break down the minute and a half of precious footage.
Eclipse's July 1 release is just a few months away, so let's start the speculation with my five burning questions.
Kristen Stewart paid a visit to The Jay Leno Show last night and she started off her chat by talking about her recent trip to London for the BAFTAs—though she didn't mention her nights out with Robert Pattinson. Kristen and Jay compared notes on the highs and lows of British cuisine, before Kristen mentioned her recent Oscars run-in with Panic Room costar Jodie Foster. We got a sneak peek this morning at Kristen's new Eclipse trailer, but she was all about talking about her next film to hit cinemas, The Runaways. She also gamely joined fellow guest Guy Fieri in one of his Minute to Win It challenges—the videos are after the jump!

Yesterday we got a sneak peek at the 10-second teaser trailer for Eclipse and today there's even more from Bella, Edward and Jacob with the first full-length version. The film doesn't hit the big screen until July 1, so this marks only the beginning of many appearances to come from Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Check the trailer (complete with Edward Cullen's proposal and Jacob Black's plea to Bella Swan) out and let us know what you think!
Robert Pattinson's Remember Me comes out today! To mark the occassion (and distract us from our ear-piercing shreiking, we're sure), the Brit actor chatted with US magazine Parade about confidence with girls, revealed what it was like to lose his beloved dog and defended New Moon director Chris Weitz—who shared his own self-criticism about the second Twilight film last week. We got our first peek at a trailer for Eclipse just this morning, so it is definitely shaping up to be one Rob-tastic day! We can't wait to see one of our favourite actors take on his first leading role post-Edward Cullen, but in the meantime, here are some highlights from part one and part two of the Parade article:

On confidence: "When it comes to the opposite sex, I'm not as fully confident as the guy I play. I don't even remember the last time I asked someone out on a date, like, just went up to them and that's the first thing I did. I'm much more self-conscious and not wanting to fail. So I tend to hold back."
On knowing what it's like to lose a loved one: "I keep talking about my dog all the time. It was an incredible dog, and I said in an interview recently he was the most important person in my life. My family went crazy with me for saying that. But, however ridiculous it may seem to some people, my relationship with my dog was a defining moment. Having the dog die was, literally, like the worst day of my life. It was like losing a family member."

Twilight fans still have a few months to go before Eclipse hits theaters and the New Moon will be out on DVD April 14. There are a few editions featuring all kinds of bonus features and I was lucky enough to chat with director Chris Weitz on everything from his favourite scene, to Rob and Kristen's relationship, to what he wishes had ended up on the cutting room floor.
- There are lots of different editions of the New Moon DVD. Which bonus features are you particularly excited about? I'm excited that my voice will finally be heard! For me, the fun thing was doing the commentary with Peter Lambert, my editor, because it kind of re-created the atmosphere in the cutting room. Peter's a really funny guy and we were able to delve into not only the behind-the-scenes moments, but to explain why certain things were shot or cut together in certain ways. So that, for me, was the most fun.
- When you go back and watch it again, are there things you'd like to change if you could? I would like to never have shot Rob and Kristen running through the forest and Kristen's just turned into a vampire. Because everybody always laughs and it makes me feel terrible. [Laughs] I would have shot it a different way so it wouldn't get that response. But otherwise, I'm very happy with things.
- You must get lots of questions abut Rob and Kristen. Do you laugh it off or are you totally sick of hearing about it? I'm somewhat clueless—when you're the director, you're kind of like the school principal. Nobody really tells you anything. You really have no idea what's going on. I'm the last person who would know about this kinda stuff. I'm sure you could get more from reading the paper.
