It's time for our weekly installment of the best, funniest, weirdest celebrity tweets. . . and this week we were spoiled for choice! Whether it was Anna Kendrick lamenting her spelling errors, Megan Gale standing up for one of her fellow Australians, Jimmy Fallon sending rather random thank-you notes, or Delta Goodrem avoiding social media for one very good reason, we were entertained and sometimes bewildered (thanks, Samuel L. There was plenty to keep our favourite celebrities talking this week. Not least of all, the Met Gala on Tuesday. . . Or more specifically, Gwyneth Paltrow's opinion on the high-society event, and singer Pink's reaction! This week has also seen a few announcements: Tom Cruise had some big news for fans of Mission Impossible, while Elizabeth Banks was mighty unimpressed about the cancellation of a certain show. Twitter went into overdrive this week after a string of tragic events in America, and some of our favourite celebrities certainly made sure to contribute to the chatter. Stars like Taylor Swift, Charlize Theron and more took to social media to share their sad — but lovely — thoughts and prayers, while Alyssa Milano appreciated the "company" of her followers. In lighter Twitter news, Rebel Wilson got everyone geared up for her turn as the MTV Movie Awards host, Erin McNaught shared some exciting details about her wedding dress and Firass Dirani called people out on their transparent behaviour. What a happy week it's been on Twitter! Ellen DeGeneres, who has just wrapped up a whirlwind tour of Australia, sent out a lovely compliment to the people of Australia, and made sweet mention of her wife Portia, while Dax Shepard announced the birth of his and wife Kristen Bell's first child, a daughter whose name is super cute and maybe a little bit patriotic. Then there was Lincoln Lewis making funny mention of some suspicious sushi, Ricki-Lee finding some amusement on the streets of New York and Pink having a bit of a 'long hair, don't care' moment. And yep, as we've come to expect, the celebs we follow were vocal about both. Some people were relieved to see it was nothing more than a myth, while others (like Lauren Conrad) were kind of relying on the end to be nigh. And Megan Gale?
