In honour of this week's focus on all things denim, we're looking to some of our most all-timing inspiring denim icons. Along with the LBD, a pair of well-fitting jeans is a wardrobe essential. Transeasonal, super-versatile, durable and eternally chic (when you pick the right cut), there's a reason why denim's become part of our modern uniform. Take a gander at these iconic denim looks for some classic inspiration. Think Claudia Schiffer in her bootcuts, Cher giving hers a bohemian spin, Alexa in her double denim, Farrah in her flares and Brooke Shields and her world-famous Calvins.
Too Cool for WildFox's Clueless Capsule Line? As If!
Hands up who owned a collection of knee-high socks and checked minis — à la Cher Horowitz — back in the day? Yup. Ours is up too — along with any fashion-loving child of the nineties we assume. Well Clueless fans, lean in; WildFox has used the iconic film as their touch-stone for their latest collection, shot by Mark Hunter, aptly called "The Kids in America" — with some way-cute results. Pastel two-piece skirt suits, 'tude ridden slogan tees and plenty of crop tops, paying homage to ultimate '90s Betty and her posse of Bel Air pals Tai and Dionne. Nicole Brings Her Smooth Moves to a Vans Party With Joel

Nicole Richie cosied up to her husband, Joel Madden, last night at the Vans X Jessie Jo launch party at LA's Troubadour. The parents of two partied alongside Joel's brother, Benji, as well as pals like Samantha Ronson and even Cher. Nicole wrapped up her daily stint at the gym to attend the bash, and she showed off the products of her hard work in a spread for the upcoming The Block magazine. She also teamed up with her trainer, Tracy Anderson, for a new video showcasing the dance fitness method they both love. Joel got in on some taped fun recently as well by creating a piece for Funny or Die.
Burlesque: Sparkles Can't Outshine the Clichés
From the moment she belts out her first note, Christina Aguilera owns Burlesque. Her big voice echoes as she shimmies through each song and dance number while coquettishly winking at the camera. I'd even go so far as to call her hypnotic. If Burlesque was just an Aguilera stage show, it would be completely satisfying. Unfortunately, movies require actual plot and dialogue and when it comes to both, the film leaves much to be desired.
Burlesque starts the same way as most small-town girl stories: Aguilera plays Ali, a waitress in Iowa with dreams of moving to Los Angeles. She buys a one-way ticket, moves into a rickety motel (the kind that's so shady you apparently have to hide your money in the toilet), and scouts the newspaper for random jobs. That's when she spots a woman in fishnets outside of a local club called Burlesque. Ali is immediately entranced by the glamorous dancers, but to become one of them, she'll have to get the approval of the club's gatekeeper, Tess (Cher).

Sneak Peek: New Burlesque Pics Are Full of Sparkle
Christina Aguilera performed at the American Music Awards ahead of the release of her new movie Burlesque, and now we're treated to even more glam photos from the film. Though the movie doesn't hit our cinemas until January, you can get a look at Aguilera's sequin-filled production numbers alongside supporting cast members like Eric Dane, Kristen Bell, Cam Gigandet, and of course, Cher. We're still waiting to see if the film is any good, but one thing is for certain: it's definitely full of eye candy!
Christina and Cher Steal the Show at the Burlesque Premiere
The red carpet was buzzing at last night's premiere of Burlesque in LA. Christina Aguilera was dressed up in a bold green gown and opted for a more toned down look than her onscreen character. Cher went short and sparkly for the event and their co-star Eric Dane had his wife Rebecca Gayheart by his side. AnnaLynne McCord showed up solo after being spotted sneaking away from a romantic rendezvous with her ex Kellan Lutz yesterday. The musical features Christina's explosive voice and hits cinemas in January next year.
