 Gwyneth Paltrow shared her thoughts on everything from the Met Gala to bikini waxes on Thursday during a dinner with 2DayFM's Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O in NYC. The radio hosts bid on a dinner with Gwyneth and decided to bring along a tape recorder for the event. When they showed up, Gwyneth was already a martini in and ready to open up. Here are some of the best lines from Gwyneth, who seems like she'd be an entertaining dinner companion!

On being drunk before dinner: "I am drunk already. I am. A martini went straight to my head and now wine. With no food. So just watch out."

On how much it probably cost to win a dinner with her: "How much did it cost. 7 pounds?"

On the bread basket: "I had like four pieces and on my fifth piece, I was like 'f*ck this' and threw it back in the basket."

On the Met Gala: "Like you always think, 'Oh my god. This is going to so glamorous and amazing and you're going to see all these people.' And then you get there, and it's so hot. It's so crowded. Everyone's pushing you. This year it was really intense. It wasn't fun."

On Kanye West: "Kanye West was playing. And he was furious. And he threw his microphone down. It was all drama!"

On the Met Gala punk theme: "I feel like we're all a bit old to be trying to dress punk."

On meeting Psy: "We're at the Met Ball. Our son is obsessed with him. So Chris sees him, and he's like 'Oh my god, there's Psy.' I was like, wait — 'cause I thought it was P-S-Y. I was like, who's Psy?"

On shaving: "I said, 'No, I got a big '70s bush.' Which I was kidding. But then it was all a disaster. And now I look like an 8-year-old girl, basically."

On bikini waxes: "Every time I have a bikini wax, Cameron Diaz holds me down."

On making a toast: "Cheers to our hairless vaginas!"

Orlando Bloom was up bright and early yesterday morning for a radio interview with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O. Towards the end of his co-hosting session, staff members brought in helium balloons for the hosts and actor, which made for an amusing three-minute Q&A! They all took turns sucking on the helium, Orlando answered questions about his favourite TV show (it’s Modern Family), and was also asked to list two sexy things about Camilla Parker Bowles. Orlando said the helium was “making me sound Australian,” and earlier in the interview he said, “Australia has become my home from home . . . well I’m married to a little piece of it,” in reference to Miranda Kerr. Unfortunately the couple aren’t spending Valentine’s Day together, as today Miranda has some work commitments with an appearance at David Jones in Sydney on behalf of KORA Organics, and Orlando had to fly back to New Zealand to shoot The Hobbit. Whether you’re a fan of Kyle Sandilands’ or not, you’ve gotta admit that the guy does have connections. He put those contacts to good use this morning for co-host Jackie O’s birthday, when he organised for Gwyneth Paltrow to call in for a quick chat! Jackie is a huge fan of the actress and was shocked when she heard her voice on the other end of the line — she squealed with excitement and may have even shed tears of joy. For the rest of their interview, Gwyneth clarified the facts on the story about how she saved someone’s life on 9/11, said she’s met Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s baby Blue (“She’s very beautiful and very sweet”), and joked, “You don’t think I’m gonna make fun of you for a baby name, right?” upon hearing Jackie’s daughter is called Kitty. Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O dominate the morning airwaves — they won the best on-air team award at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards on the weekend — and are now set to return to the small screen in a one-off variety show for Channel Seven. A Night With the Stars will be like a ‘best of celebrity news program,’ with Kyle announcing on the radio this morning, “We’re going to look back over the year at the ups and downs — the celebrity hot topics, who’s got married, who’s got divorced, who’s had scandal, who’s had a disastrous year. There will be guests on there; Jackie has kindly decided to step back onto the TV . . .” The radio duo were last on TV together when they hosted Big Brother in 2008, though they’ve both had separate TV projects; Kyle most recently had a judging gig on Australia’s Got Talent.

Daniel MacPherson and Zoe Ventoura’s latest TV venture, Wild Boys on Channel Seven, hits the small screen this Sunday night, so the Aussie stars have spent a lot of time this week promoting the show. Daniel and Zoe play onscreen love interests and have been playing coy about their real-life relationship status. They were up bright and early this morning for a chat with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O, where Kyle kept the relationship questions coming. “What’s the deal?” Kyle said. “You’ve all but said you’re together.” To which Daniel responded, “It’s not very hard to have great chemistry with an amazing actress like Zoe Ventoura.” As the conversation continued, Kyle said that their refusal to confirm or deny being a couple implied that they were together, as Daniel and Zoe tried to laugh it off. Alexa Chung continued her press duties as the international ambassador for ACP Magazines’ 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty with a chat with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O that aired on the radio this morning. While discussing what it’s like to be caught out by the paparazzi, Alexa said, “Sometimes it’s annoying ’cause you’re like, ‘Oh, man!’ Often because I haven’t washed my hair or you’re a bit hungover — [it’s like] maybe I’m on the walk of shame. And then they’re taking pictures and you can’t really describe the context to people, so they just think you look like a rat.” The Harper’s Bazaar October cover girl also talked about the actresses whose style she admires and why she refuses to try on a pair of Crocs.

Taylor Swift fans will be thrilled to know that she’s bringing her Speak Now tour to Australia in March. The singer, who has been touring around the US and recently scooped honours at the Teen Choice Awards, spoke to Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O this morning to answer fan questions, share some tour secrets and talk about her celebrity BFFs. Being such a sweet and charming personality, Taylor is never short of friends, and told the breakfast radio duo about who she considers to be her celebrity besties: “My friends are amazing and I’m so thankful to have them, [but] the ones that are like sisters to me are Selena Gomez and Emma Stone . . . They can predict my thoughts; I’ve known them for so long it’s really cool to have friends that are that close.”

Brian McFadden has been dating Irish DJ/model Vogue Williams for a few months now, and this morning Brian’s buddy Kyle Sandilands invited Vogue onto his and Jackie O’s show to find out more about her. She revealed that things between her and Brian are getting so serious that she’s planning to move to Australia permanently, saying, “I was meant to be here for three weeks. It’s now eight weeks later and I’m still here . . . I’m going to go home and get my stuff together and then come back for good.” Tonight she’ll be playing a set at Party People’s live launch broadcast from the Trademark Hotel, which will be hosted by Kyle and Ruby Rose. It will be a monthly event, broadcasting each Friday night from 10 p.m. on the Today Network (2Day FM, FOX FM, B105, SAFM and 92.9). Kyle said that more guests and performers expected at the Trademark tonight include Lara Bingle, Erin McNaught, Sneaky Sound System and Bandit from Australia’s Got Talent.

Happy Birthday, Kyle Sandilands! The breakfast radio host and Australia’s Got Talent judge is celebrating the big 4-0 today, but it seems he’s not in tip-top shape after injuring himself yesterday! He was competing in an Amazing Race-style challenge with Lara Bingle, and the two were running on a dock in Woolloomooloo when Kyle tripped over a rope and toppled over on his front. Lara tweeted the result of his fall, a badly grazed knee, and unfortunately it meant their race was over.
