Rose Byrne rocked up to The Late Show with David Letterman earlier this week to catch up with the host and talk about her role on The Place Beyond the Pines. Looking gorgeous in a green leopard print dress, the actress told Dave that the movie was shooting in Schenectady, New York, and then challenged him to spell out the letters of the city. Dave turned their interview into a mini spelling bee and asked Rose to spell Indianapolis — something the Aussie struggled with, just a bit! She also mentioned that excited female fans come to the set of the movie to try and get a glimpse of her hot co-stars Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper.

During and following the months of Charlie Sheen’s meltdown, his Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer hardly spoke out about the topic. He did respond when Charlie called him a “troll,” but even then his appearance on Conan O’Brien’s show in March was mostly humorous and didn’t focus on Charlie’s issues. On Wednesday night Jon taped an interview with David Letterman on The Late Show, where the topic of Charlie was inevitably brought up. Jon explained how nobody on the show was prepared for Charlie’s actions, especially since the whole situation was unprecedented, but added, “I love him, he’s a great friend.” When David said, “He called you names — he called you a troll,” Jon replied, “As friends do.” (You’ve gotta admire how he’s handled this whole situation.) It’s something David Letterman learned the hard way after he asked the star about whether she ate Barbie dolls’ heads during her concerts. When she said, “Yes, all the time,” he responded with, “No, that’s not true,” which led Lady Gaga to snatch his notes, rip them up, and put some papaer in her mouth! It’s her first time on The Late Show and it ties in with the release of her album Born This Way, which came out yesterday in Australia.
