Marc Jacobs has come to be known as the ultimate showman in NYC fashion, and Fall 2013 upheld his reputation to a T. The capacity crowd entered to a glowing yellow orb at the end of the circular runway — notable for providing sepia light that rendered the chic showgoers in sepia-tinged black and white (so much for those wild colours for the street style photographers!). The models did a full, brisk lap around the runway to start the show, all under the sepia light. After the last model exited the runway, the lighting shifted and the models came back out to be seen for the lovely, soft colour palette that Jacobs picked for the season — soft moss green, pale mauve, camel, greiges. The line was filled with the very wearable — cable knit sweaters, double-breasted coats, shirtdresses — to the very unwearable — see the model in just hot pants and gloves. Evening was particularly strong with bias-cut gowns with open backs mixed in with liquid metallic gowns that are begging to be flown out to Hollywood to the Oscars. The designer, clad in pyjamas for his finale walk, created a thrilling presentation and a collection that we'll be thrilled to see in stores.
Le Specs latest campaign just might fog up your glasses, it's so steamy! Aussie model-of-the-moment Nicole Pollard stars in this rather sexy shoot, lensed by US-based snapper Todd Barry and styled by ex-Vogue fashion editor Meg Gray. The sunglasses themselves are pretty special (think cut-out lenses, graphic frame and lots of oversized, sporty silhouettes ranging from $39.95 to $79.95), but they are almost upstaged by the water-sports themed styling and fabulously fit figures on show. The campaign is pretty darn polished, but we thought you might like to snoop some behind-the-scenes snaps, too. Take a peek.
Hold. The. Phone. Karlie Kloss must have shot this Vogue Italia shoot around the time she made her catwalking debut for Victoria's Secret, coz her body is in the most amazing shape we've ever seen. Steven Meisel snapped this sexy spread for the December issue, which shows off this all-American model's fit physique to a tee. Who needs clothes when you look like this nude? Not Karlie. Ok, there are some clothes, but really this is all about Miss Kloss; unadorned and unadulterated. We need to warn you, the following (nsfw) images may make you rethink that 3pm cupcake craving. Le sigh. Photos courtesy of Vogue Italia and Steven Meisel.
Have you seen the latest Aussie mag to hit newsstands? No, it's not ELLE Australia (although it's apparently on its way). Meet STONEFOX, the latest offering from the publishers of SUMMERWINTER. Edited by Angela Mackay, the publication will be available locally and internationally, and looks to have a uniquely pared back but beautifully styled addition to the glossy ranks. This editorial, starring Aussie model on the rise Dempsey Stewart, took our fancy so we thought we'd share. Snapped by Christopher Ferguson and styled by ex-Shop 'Til You Drop fash' ed' Nadene Duncan, it's an essay in effortless style. Curious?
What a killer duo Orlando and Miranda make! Not only have they created the most adorable baby we've ever seen (HOW cute is Flynn?), but they make quite the photographic team too. Miranda Kerr is the latest model to join the ranks for Rag & Bone's DIY project — rounding out the bevy of beauties on board, which includes Lily Aldridge, Karolina Kurkova and fellow Aussie Abbey Lee Kershaw amongst others. The idea is to ask their fave models to don denim, lose the stylists, go sans makeup and submit a little DIY shoot, all au naturel. The results prove that less really is more. Take a look at some of the KerrBloom happy snaps (taken whilst Orlando was shooting The Hobbit in New Zealand), as well as our faves from the other girls. Still want more? You can check out the whole thing here.
Whilst we're all familiar with Crystal Renn doing it for the curvy girls, we thought we'd bring Robin Lawley to your attention. This Sydney-bred beauty has starred on the April cover of French Elle, and more recently posed for revered snapper Steven Meisel, near naked thanks very much, for a story for Vogue Italia's plus size themed June issue. The 21 year old opened up to The Cut, and sounded so down to earth and darn likeable that we had to share some excerpts with you. Take note peeps, this Sydney-sider is destined for supermodel status.
On being discovered: When I was 15, my drama teacher told me I should model, and so I went into an agency with my sister who had been telling me the same thing for quite some time. I waited a year then entered a magazine competition, which then resulted in a modelling contract.
On that Elle cover: When my agent told me I was getting considered for French Elle, it was between me and this other girl, and I automatically thought she was going to get it because she's so gorgeous... The shoot itself was great because they weren't exploiting the fact that they were shooting a "plus-size" model. Instead, they just made it another fashion story.
On what she'd want to change in the industry: I would love to change the opinion of plus-size girls. I always feel people are surprised when they work with one of us and find that we can, in fact, model very well... Fashion should be indicative of the world, and we are all different; we're not all 16-year-old Russian teens.
Morning coffee is about as essential to us, as well, air really! So here's a treat for anyone who also wakes, looking forward to their first cup of sweet, caffeine laden goodness. Indie magazine Cake has made a short filmic tribute to our favourite ritual, and although we may not boil a kettle (I couldn't cheat on my barista with Nescafé!), nor wander around listlessly in our underwear before heading off to work, director Joe Wehner has captured the first rays of morning light beautifully. Want a cup?
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has it all. A pillowy pout, check. A stellar modelling career, check. A hot boyfriend, check. And now her first solo British Vogue cover. The Victoria's Secret hottie has previouly graced the cover of the fashion bible, joined by fellow British beauties Eden Clark and Jourdan Dunn, but this time the glory is all hers as she heats up the March 2011 issue. Shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for a spread called "Glamorama", it features a topless Huntington-Whiteley fanning herself in the heat, and drenched in water. (You're welcome, boys.) With killer red lips and a matching stiletto mani, it's definitely up there as one of Rosie's racier shoots. Sexy señorita.

Smoking, topless nuns anyone? Shaking off her squeaky clean Myer image for this sexy shoot co-starring Lydia Hearst, Jessica Hart gets undressed for Marc Hom. This provocative spread sees the Aussie supe' working the monochrome trend in many guises; wearing a white men's button down, posing in sexy black lace briefs, and a nun's habit — sans top. Whilst these images may ruffle some religious feathers (and are definitely NSFW), Jess' adorable gap toothed, natural beauty is undeniable. Miranda Kerr worked a similarly sexy theme for Numéro last year....seems that nuns are the new naughty. See it all in our slideshow.
