Proving that there's really no end to award season in Hollywood, the 2010 MTV Movie Awards nominees have been announced! Naturally, the Twilight kids are all over these categories, but New Moon also gets some lofty competition from movies like The Hangover, The Proposal and Avatar. With categories like "Best WTF Moment," "Biggest Badass Star" and "Best Scared-as-S**t Performance," these definitely aren't the Oscars. But considering the show's history of shenanigans and comedian Aziz Ansari playing host, it should be a night of fun. Voting is now open so be sure to give some love to your favourite the Aussie contenders (cough... Sam Worthington and Isabel Lucas... cough)—but good luck trying to edge out the Twi-hards. Check out the full list of nominees when you read on.
Anna Kendrick was belted and in blue this morning as she smiled for photographers at a press conference for Up in the Air in Tokyo. Her film has been out here for over two months now, but it's due to hit theatres in Japan on March 20. The last few months of awards season were busy for Anna and things haven't slowed down for her or her costars since the Oscars. George Clooney headed right off to work on The Descendants in Hawaii, while Anna made a quick trip to Vancouver. She's soon to be back in front of the cameras herself when she joins Seth Rogen in his latest comedy and then it's back on the promotional trail before Eclipse is out in June.
Four? Seven? All 10? But what about you? Hopefully, by now you've already seen the ones most likely to win, but take my poll and tell me how many you've seen. The Oscars are often the place where a young starlet can claim “It” girl status on her way up the A-list. Anna Kendrick, Zoe Saldana and Gabourey Sidibe are this year's young contenders battling it out for the title. Find out who our editors think will be the 2010 Oscars “It” girl.

Now that we've sized up the ladies in the Best Actress category, it's time to take a look at their male counterparts. So, who do we think will win the Best Actor Oscar race?
Our Favourite:Jeff Bridges, Crazy Heart It looks like Bridges already has this race in the bag, having done a full sweep so far with the SAG award and the Golden Globe. As a washed-up country singer named Bad in Crazy Heart, he delivers just the right amount of sadness underneath his hardened, "I don't give a damn" exterior. Oh, and he sings, too. Sorry Clooney, but that's mighty hard to top.

10 days and counting; that's how long is left until the 2010 Oscars (yep, I can feel your excitement from here), which means it's time for us to try our hand at predicting the winners. Of course nothing is predicatable with the sometimes prickly Academy, but with most of awards season under our belts, it is possible to make an educated guess or two. So, without further ado, let's take a look at Best Supporting Actress.
Our Favourite:Mo'Nique, Precious So far Mo'Nique has swept the SAG Awards, Critics' Choice Awards, Golden Globes and BAFTAs making it hard to believe that she won't win. Her harrowing role in Precious definitely had our jaws on the floor, so we're declaring her a shoo-in. That is, unless those circulating rumours about the actress' lack of cooperation to promote the film hurt her chances and a dark horse like Kendrick is rewarded instead. But our money is still on Mo'Nique.
