There was plenty of red carpet style on show last night when Australian cricketers and their partners attended the 2013 Allan Border Medal at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne.

There was plenty of red carpet style on show last night when Australian cricketers and their partners attended the 2013 Allan Border Medal at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne. Michael Clarke may have been the man of the moment, winning his fourth Allan Border Medal, which is Australian cricket’s top individual prize, but in the style stakes all eyes were on his wife, Kyly Clarke, who made her entrance in a striking white J’Aton gown with cut-outs and a gold belt, adding colour via a bold red lip. Also dressed in J’Aton was Rebecca Judd, who wowed in a heavily embellished and netted creation from the Melbourne design duo. Pregnant Lee Watson (née Furlong), who is eight months along, dressed her baby bump in Johanna Johnson, Ricky Ponting’s wife Rianna chose Steven Khalil with Cerrone jewellery for the occasion, and Sara McGrath kept things simple in red on the arm of her husband Glenn, who won the first ever Allan Border Medal. AFL Stars and WAGs Take the Spotlight at the 2012 Brownlow Medal

AFL stars and their WAGs lit up the red carpet at Crown Palladium in Melbourne last night to celebrate the 2012 Brownlow Medal.

AFL stars and their WAGs lit up the red carpet at Crown Palladium in Melbourne last night to celebrate the 2012 Brownlow Medal. The honour, which is AFL’s most prestigious individual award, went to Essendon’s Jobe Watson, who had his father, AFL legend Tim Watson, mother Susie, and partner Ella Keddie in the crowd to witness his big moment. Jobe paid tribute to his mum and dad in his speech, saying, “I think my parents have done a lot of work to be an example of how to live and how to behave.”

Before the official proceedings it was all about the ladies on the red carpet, who stole the spotlight in an array of colourful and embellished gowns — many of them skimming over baby bumps! Rebecca Judd took a more conservative approach in custom Toni Maticevski to accompany husband Chris, while actress Jessica McNamee chose a shimmery peplum number and posed on the arm of boyfriend Scott Thompson of the Adelaide Crows. The most bedazzled look of the night went to, fittingly, Brynne Edelsten, who turned heads in a dress that had a mirrored bodice and feathered skirt. Her new reality show Brynne: My Bedazzled Life, premieres on Channel Seven on October 4.

Michael Clarke Marries Kyly Boldy in Alex Perry Wedding Dress: See Pictures of Her Gorgeous Gown!

A big congratulations goes out to Kyly Boldy and Michael Clarke, who married in secret in the Blue Mountains on Tuesday. Talk about secret squirrel — we didn't even know they were engaged! The model-cum-brand ambassador married the Australian cricket captain in front of a small gathering of friends and family. Now, to the important stuff; the dress! Alex Perry designed the glamorous gown, which apparently took over 140 hours of hand-beading to embellish with Swarovski crystals, and used 150 metres of satin backed silk organza for the full, tiered skirt and long train. Perry said, "Kyly was involved in every step of the process and design specifications and although it was sometimes very hard to keep the dress from prying eyes we couldn't be happier for them — she looks like a fairytale princess." No magazine exclusives were given to cover the nuptials, with Michael Tweeting a few select pictures to announce the news publicly. Take a peek at Kyly's princess-perfect Perry gown!
