Anne Hathaway stopped by The Daily Show this week to continue promoting Les Misérables ahead of this week's Critics' Choice Awards and the Golden Globes. Though Hathaway hasn't been shy about mentioning how depressing Les Mis is, she admitted that the cast did have a few laughs on the set. Robert Pattinson swung by Good Morning America yesterday in NYC to talk about his new movie, Cosmopolis. After carefully evading most talk about his personal life during Monday's stop at The Daily Show, Rob was similarly mum today. Host George Stephanopoulos asked about how Rob handles so much media attention, and the actor replied, "I've never been interested in trying to sell my personal life . . . That's the reason you go on TV — to promote movies. That's the only way to do it." Later, Rob said, "Yeah," when asked if he's doing alright, and was treated to a bowl of early-morning cereal.
Robert Pattinson stopped by The Daily Show With Jon Stewart yesterday before attending the NYC premiere of Cosmopolis decked out in slick blue Gucci suit. It was Robert's first day of publicity for the movie since his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, was caught cheating with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Jon Stewart managed to talk around the elephant in the room, offering Robert Pattinson ice cream and "girl talk." Robert avoided actually digging into his Karma Sutra, joking that he didn't want to bust through his two pairs of spanx.
Jon did lend his support, though, saying that he knows break-ups can feel like the end of the world. Robert responded, "it is," though he didn't confirm or deny an actual split from Kristen. Jon Hamm was the guest of honour last night at a dinner hosted for him by the editors of Details in NYC. He's on the cover of the magazine's October issue solo, but he made the rounds at the party with his girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt, and caught up with SNL funny people like Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig. This morning, the Mad Men star was back on the promotional circuit to chat up his movie The Town ahead of its US release tomorrow. He swung by the Regis and Kelly studios to record an interview that airs tomorrow. Drew Barrymore stopped by The Daily Show in NYC yesterday to talk Going the Distance before its US release next Friday. She arrived in a bright purple skirt and army shirt but switched into jeans and a floppy hat as she signed autographs and greeted her fans on the way out. Drew, who had some harsh words for a nosy interviewer in the UK, was in great spirits catching up with her old friend Jon Stewart. The host grilled her on whether she is currently on or off romantically with co-star Justin Long, but Drew refused to spill. She teased, "I may be, I may not be. I don't know!" Whether or not the duo are currently together, they're clearly close and have gotten cozy on the red carpet during their premieres in LA and London.

It was her latest interview in a jam-packed Big Apple day—Jen kicked things off with a stop at Good Morning America before moving on to Live With Regis and Kelly and then having lunch with her girlfriends. Jen's been busy all week promoting The Switch and she was last in LA for Monday's big premiere.
