As a result of the kidnapping, Furiosa spent many years attempting to find her way back to the Green Place.

Is Furiosa a Prequel?

Furiosa is the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, which was released in 2015. It will tell the backstory of Furiosa’s character. Charlize Theron’s tough rebel leader was by far the fan-favourite character of the 2015 action movie, so it’s no wonder that the filmmakers have finally decided to give us more about her in her own movie.

Why Isn’t Charlize Theron In Furiosa?

You may be disappointed to hear that Theron won’t be playing Furiosa again, but it’s because the movie is a prequel and director George Miller wanted a young female actress in her 20s to play the role. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Theron said she’s disappointed since she loved the role, but she respects Miller and wishes him the best.
