WINNER: It's a tie! Between body paint and black light makeup
For every trend we've loved this year — top knots, braids, lobs: we're talking to you — there have been more than a few that we, umm, didn't. Y'know. Those ones that you see on the runway and on celebs and think NO WAY, dude. Because, well they're kind of ridiculous when it comes to Normal People wearing them. Take bodies painted in gold, silver and zebra print (yep, even Louis Vuitton couldn't change our minds). We get that you ladies look hot, but really, spray-painting ourselves in silver is not a viable option for the Christmas party. Same goes for black light makeup. Ke$ha, SIA and the Black Eyed Peas all tried (and failed) to make us wear it. Because we're not in 1980. And we're not 15. (Note: if you are 15, you have a free pass to wear these trends, but know this: everyone over the age of 15 will roll eyes.)

Thankfully 2011 is showing us that almond is more where it's at. Less fatal. Brows in general confused us: whether it was bushy or bleached-out, we weren't feeling them. Undercuts, fake or not, see brows. Mumsy hair, which we saw lots of from Katherine Heigl. Unexpected given her normally sexy style. Obvious tan lines = obviously not trendy.
