2011 ARIA Awards Beauty Trend: Heavy Metal Eyeshadow

Like any awards show, the 2011 ARIA Awards offered a mixed bag of beauty looks but there one was definitive trend: metallic makeup, which was worn by Kylie Minogue, Kimbra and Ricki-Lee Coulter. Perfect for party season, a metallic eyeshadow dresses up any look and can be worn alone or teamed with a red lip for extra pizazz. Traditionally there were silver, gold and bronze metallic shadows but nowadays you can get just about every colour in a metallic finish. And if you're unsure which shade to opt for, bronze is universally flattering on all skin tones.
