2011 Oscars: Cate Blanchett

She's baaaaaaaaaaaacccckkk! To be honest, with skin as luminous as hers, she's never strayed too far from our beauty radar but it's been a while since she's really, really WOWED us. We're talking fall-off-you-chair-mouth-wide-open-like-a-goldfish-wow-us. It's the kind of wowness that celebs can only dream of. But once it happens, it's talked about for years. Yonks even. (Past example: Michelle Williams at the 2006 Oscars. WOW.) And tonight it's Cate's turn. Proving that she knows her stuff, she's teamed her statement gown with said SK-II-infused luminous skin, lashes, liner and a nude lip. Not to mention a growing-out short cut, created by Renya Xydis for ghd, which has all the elegance and grace of Princess Diana's cut. Cate, you make us proud to be Australian.
