Adore Beauty – alarmingly fast shipping, free Tim Tams and plentiful samples. What’s not to love? Now, even better, the beauty and wellness e-tailer is having a massive sale for Afterpay Day. The Australian favourite brand is offering up to 40% off across their site and if you spend $179 or more you can snag a free mystery goodie bag (yay). So, we thought we’d do the honours of calling out some serious gems you may have been sleeping on.

COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch

If you are not aware of COSRX’s Acne Pimple Master Patch ($7.90), these little circles of goodness are by far the best on the market. And also the most reasonably priced. COSRX doesn’t waste time with the additional actives you’ll find in some pimple patches. Leave that to acne fighting treatments and serums. What the COSRX pimple patches do well is adhere to your face. A pimple patch’s main job is to protect your blemish from dirty, bacteria and fingers itching to squeeze and pick. The most common experience we’ve heard about with “bells and whistles” pimple patches has been falling asleep with them firmly in place, only to find them decorating your pillow when you wake up in the morning. If a pimple patch is not on your pimple, it is not doing its job. Fortunately, the COSRX pimple patches will cling to your blemishes so hard you need to double-check they’re off after your morning shower.

Alpha-H Melting Moments Cleansing Balm With Wild Orange Leaf Extract

Alpha-H are best known for their very potent glycolic serums — but last year the brand quietly released a very good cleansing balm. Most of us here at POPSUGAR Australia are double cleanse fanatic – even on no-makeup days we like to take our sunscreen off with an oil cleanser. Like makeup, sunscreen is designed to stick to your face, so it makes sense to apply the same logic when cleansing.

Alpha-H’s Melting Moments Cleansing Balm With Wild Orange Leaf Extract ($69.95) looks like peach sorbet and glides on easily, literally melting your makeup. Some balm cleansers are so thick and sticky, that the formula drags so a silky slip is appreciated. Adding water emulsifies the product turning the pumpkin-coloured balm into milky goodness. This helps the cleanser rinse clean. There’s nothing worse than a cleansing balm that leaves behind an oily residue (there are, of course, many worse things — but maybe not in the cleanser category)

The Melting Moment cleanser is PH-balanced and packed with nourishing oils, Alpha H recommends those with super dry skin types to use it as a mask. This is definitely worth the investment.

ghd Glide Smoothing Hot Brush

ghd are best known for their admittedly wonderful straighteners and curling wands when they should be known for their genius lazy girl (or boy) hot-brush! The Glide Smoothing Hot Brush ($250) heats to 185C, and combines ceramic and ionic technology found in ghd’s other excellent products to deliver seriously smooth results.

While this tool won’t dry soaking wet hair, it will extend the life of your blowdry. The paddle brush style covers a lot of ground, smoothing hair and leaving it glossy in a few short strokes.

Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant

Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant ($99) rightly made the brand famous. The water-free powder cleanser is perfect for travel and provides a gentle but thorough cleanse. For those looking for a little extra from their cleanser, the brand has introduced their Daily Superfoliant ($99). While we wouldn’t recommend using an exfoliant daily — we are fans of chemical exfoliation. And this charcoal based cleanser adds Alpha-Hydroxy acids and enzymes to deliver physical, chemical and enzymatic exfoliation in one go. If you have oily or textured skin, or simply want to add a deeper cleanse to your weekly routine, consider this a winner.

VIRTUE Recovery Shampoo

If you struggle with super dry hair, this is the shampoo for you. VIRTUE’s Recovery Shampoo ($56) contains an exclusive Alpha Keratin 60ku complex, derived from actual, ethically sourced, human hair. You could probably consider this product less shampoo and more of intensive treatment (we definitely do). The Alpha Keratin binds directly to damaged hair, leaving it shiny and healthy. While it’s rich for regular use, it’s a great product to have on hand when your hair needs resurrection. And it will make your shower smell like caramel so bon appétit.
