50 per cent of UK teens would consider plastic surgery

How Young Is Too Young to Go Under the Knife?

A UK study conducted by Girl Guides has found that a shocking 46% of girls aged 11 to 16 and 50% of girls aged 16 to 21 would consider cosmetic surgery to make themselves look better.

The figure seems to increase in girls who are not performing well in school. The influx of celeb surgery and TV shows such as 10 Years Younger in 10 Days (10 Years Younger in the UK) has been blamed for making full-on surgical procedures seem uncomplicated and carefree.

Perhaps even more disheartening is that only 27% of girls aged 10 to 11 said that they were very happy with their appearance. That’s so young to be so self-critical.

How young do you think is too young for plastic surgery?
