So I don't think we've ever spoken about nude lip colours before . . . I jest, I jest, of course we have! The colour (or non-colour really) is all over the red carpet. Nude is everywhere.
Now, I know I recommended MAC Tinted Lipglass in C-Thru ($34) for those trying to emulate Lea Michele's Grammys look. It's a personal fave of mine, but a few friends tried it and found it was a little on the pale side. And granted it's got the whole '60s pale, glossy lips look sewn up.
So, with that in mind, I've been searching high and low for a nude lip colour that is wearable, suits all skin tones, has a bit of shimmer and a bit of colour to it. Not too much colour though, otherwise it won't qualify as nude. Tricky. Luckily it came to me, landing on my desk just yesterday: Avon Glazewear Crystals Lipstick in Nude Gold ($18.99). It looks like a lipstick, yet applies smoothly like a gloss and its finish is somewhere in between the two. Nude Gold is a very, very subtle caramel-nude with slightly glittery reflective particles that catch the light making it perfect for day or night. In fact it's so comfortable that you could probably wear it straight through. Totally worth a look if you're on Team Nude ladies.
