My jaw dropped as soon as I walked backstage at Alex Perry. I have never in my life seen a backstage area like it. Normally there's about eight hair and makeup stations squeezed into a tiny (with trillion degrees) tent. But Alex, well Alex doesn't like to do things by half. The room was huge—I had to do a 180 on video so you guys could see it. Check it out here.
Renya Xydis, ghd Hair Director, said the look was "Arabian Princess," she's "young, rich and gorgeous" and she's hitting the French Riviera. The front was styled up in a huge quiff and the long locks draped over one shoulder with a loose, luxurious wave running through. To create the look, wefts were used in the back as well as lots of ghd Fat Hair to add volume. Two clips secured hair over to one side, while a third raised the hair above the ear. It was uber-glam at its best and seemed like the obvious choice for an Alex Perry frock.
