RAFW 2010: Enchanted and Ethereal at Bianca Spender

Goldwell Hair Director, Shane Henning, told us that Bianca's theme for the collection was "enchanted forest" so he wanted to create an "ethereal, whimsical and romantic look" for the hair. He scrunched in Goldwell Power Whip to create a "raw, organic texture" and then coloured wefts were worked into the look. The sides were then rolled into two braids; and then to lift the crown, Shane crimped at the crown (see, told you it's the new volumising trick, didn't I?) The crown was then braided and then all the sections were twisted and worked together. Some had additional fish braids, some didn't. Each style was unique, but they all had the same core structure. OK, so it's not really all that wearable, but when couple with the makeup (which I'll get to in a minute), you could totally see Bianca's initial brief, which to me, means the hair and makeup work. I liked it in a kooky catwalk way.
