RAFW 2010: Ancient Greek Meets Sci-Fi at Konstantina Mittas
When we caught up with Hair Director Jon Pulitano backstage, he told us that the idea behind the hair for Konstantina Mittas' Spring/Summer show was "kind of ancient Greek mysticism meets sci-fi future." Which basically meant for a stunningly cool hairstyle, that took a LOT to create. The hair was prepped with Redken's Body Full and Root Full 06 (which were both applied when the hair was dry) to add a thick, fluffy texture. Then things that looked not too dissimilar to a kitchen scourer were added to the back, Jon called them "props," to kind of guide the hair and add shape. The top was pin-curled using a Cloud Nine straightener, then left to set and brushed through after. Redken 23 finished the whole look. It was definitely a standout style of the week.
