RAFW 2010: Luminosity and Light Key to Dion Lee
Light played an integral role in the makeup look that was created by Napoleon Perdis for the Spring/Summer 2010-11 Dion Lee show. Napoleon was inspired by the Dutch artist Vermeer who painted milkmaids and had a great "play of light." As the light in the Sydney Opera House was clean, fresh and illuminating, Napoleon wanted the skin to be the same. He used what I'm dubbing his Key Three: Auto Pilot Primer, Skin Renewal Serum and Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation to create a gorgeous base, then gave the cheeks and lips a wash of silver, which came from the Light Control Luminizer Palette. The whole look had a gorgeous, other-worldly sheen to it; it was so pearly and pretty. Good one NP.
Psst. The nail tied in so well—OPI used Pearl of Wisdom polish, which is a pearlescent silver from the Hong Kong collection.
