The Byron Bay ceremony was as beautiful as we thought it would be, but Australian model Stephanie 'Bambi' Northwood-Blythe took it up more than a few notches in the bridal beauty stakes. The girl with the big brows wore her brown hair down for the intimate ceremony with now husband Dan Single, but due to the heat, it only came out at the last second.
"We set her hair in pin curls because it was Byron Bay, so it was hot. I put it up in clips and then before she walked, I unleashed it and put the veil on and off she went," says celebrity hairstylist Renya Xydis. Keep reading.
The fashion week pro and go-to editorial hairstylist used Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz to prep Bambi's hair, and then finished with both Wella Professionals Perfect Setting and Sebastian Reshaper Hairspray to set.
While Bambi's hair is quite long and thick from extensions to begin with, Renya used some clip-ins to give the look more depth and texture — she says they're a staple in her kit. "Pretty simple but easy and effective," she says.
When it came to the bridal beauty inspiration for one of our country's most-watched models, Renya admits it was a joint effort. "It was a mixture [in terms of ideas]. We wanted her to look like Brooke Shields in Blue Lagoon. We had the veil and she is the most beautiful looking girl with gorgeous eyebrows. So we didn't want hair up."
