If you’re an online shopper like Pop, Fab and I, you’ve no doubt experienced Disappointing Online Purchase Syndrome (DOPS), where the shade you receive in the mail has very questionable links to the shade you actually purchased.
It’s that silly thumbnail’s fault. Not to mention its fancy accompanying description. Retail people, it’s nice that you’ve tried to help, but really “tulip purple with golden undertones” could mean anything.
That’s why you should all bookmark this amazing Aussie site called BeautySwatch. Basically a dedicated team of "shopaholic bloggers" with different skin types and tones upload photos of themselves wearing lip products from all different brands so you can see what the shade looks like in ‘real’ life before buying it. Genius. Never shop without it.
