When Beyoncé attended the The Lion King premiere in London on Sunday night our hearts stopped for two reasons. First, she met Meghan Markle, and their exchange was everything we'd dreamt of (UK royalty meets US royalty!). And second, she wore the most incredible head-to-toe gold ensemble, right down to her glimmering makeup and manicure.
Luckily for us, her longtime makeup artist, Sir John, shared a full breakdown of the look, revealing that he used products from the new limited-edition Luminess Beauty The Lion King Collection, which he had a hand in developing.
Here's Sir John's full breakdown that he posted on Instagram:
Eyeshadow — Simba and Nala
Crease — King and Pride Rock
Transition — Safari Khaki
Body — Circle Of Life highlighter (particularly décolletage, arms, legs and shoulders — all light reflective places)
Lips — Trouble Liquid Lipstick with Pounce layered on top.
Various shades from Kingdom Sculpting Palette used to define the face.
Unfortunately, the Sir John x Luminess Beauty The Lion King Collection isn't available in the UK (tear). If you're flying across pond in the next couple weeks on holiday, great! You can order some and ship to where you're staying. But for the rest of us, we rounded up a whole bunch of incredible gold-and-neutral shadow palettes that are similar to the Can't Wait to Be Queen Eye Shadow Palette in the collection and can help you re-create Queen Bey's gilded shadow look at home.
